I can give u a few reasons I guess...
Home Field (although) it didnt show that much yesterday is more important in NFL than it is in any sport on this planet. It showed up in some cases.. A home team in ATL beat up on a much better DET team. Tenn (as I predicted) because they were home held off a better Jacksonville team. Was simply shocked to see INDY and SD lose but thats the way the cookie crumbles. CHI was a gift at 10 (I personally ML'd them)--People that backed INDY are insane...DO you realize your QB hasnt taken a snap since January??? Tom Brady gets hurt and Peyton shits the bed....Pre-season (as much as everyone hates it) does matter---That brings me to my next point..Aaron Rodgers played a ton in the pre-season and he knows this team is his. He will get a very warm welcome tonight at home and the crowd will be behind him..Unlike a lot of other cities (PHILLY/NY) even if he gets off to a slow start he shouldn't hear to many boo's. On to the Defense. GB has one of the best defenses in the NFL and I'll argue that with anyone. Another quick note...AP played out of his mind last year and I don't look for him to actually "slump" but he will NOT have 75% of the year he had last year. People weren't ready for him and didn't know what to expect and now they do. I wrote a lot and didn't say much but the point I guess I am trying to make is Green Bay is at home, they have the defense, they have no problems in the locker room with Brett gone, they have the best fans in the world and it's the MNF opener. Place will be going nuts and I look for GBAY to ride that wave of momentum to a quick and early lead and let their defense hold it
best of luck to eveyrone:howdy:
