I had forgotten this fact of Reggie Jackson's 3 home run game.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Each of Jackson's blasts came on his first swing, and each was hit off of a different pitcher. (Since Jackson had hit a home run in his final plate appearance of Game 5, and had walked on four straight pitches in his first plate appearance of Game 6, that meant he had hit four World Series home runs on four consecutive swings of the bat - a record not likely ever to be broken.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can anyone find us some film of that night game in Yankee Stadium? If my memory isnt totally shot, am thinking the second one he hit was a screaming low line drive into the right center seats that got out of the park in about 3 seconds. The 3rd one was the gorilla shot to center, and it got a lot of press, but one of those first two was impressive!
Thanks
