The Pirate ownership conned the state and city government into building a new stadium. I love the stadium. It's one of the best in the majors. After they built this fabulous to place to watch a game they decided to not spend a dime on the team. It's a disgrace. I don't feel sorry for the city. All they do is keep winning championships in football and hockey. The owners are getting a free ride. When the Steelers and Penquins run into a drought someone is going to notice how they got scammed by the Pirates.

i remember in HS they were the shit, or pretty good at least.
Had Leyland managing , and Drabek and Tomlin in the rotation, and Bonds Bonilla and Van Slyke in the outfield, and Jay Bell and Jose Lind in the infield.

Wore my Pirates jersey yesterday and I got a lot of comments about how I had balls to wear it. Somebody said at least their jerseys look good - about the best anybody can say for them.
