There have been a bunch of shows on Discovery, Sci channel recently about the invasive spieces problems in Florida. The pythons seems to be the biggest problems. Floridas climate is very acclimating for these type of snakes. Problem is getting out of control down there.

I believe these snakes exist in southern florida , and were introduced in the last 50 years via released pets breeding, but they are a bit vulnerable to a cold spell....a serious ( epic) frost might kill 95% of these snakes ?

normal Fla weather, and they be OK !

Python ain't gonna kill you, your cat/dog is a nice target for a 10 foot python.

I find the subject of invasive species to be fascinating, esp. the earliest examples of it !

Is the new critter maybe better, than the displaced one ?

Mankind is the ultimate creature displacing so many species, eh ?

This python doesn't belong there, but isn't that bad considering gators that be about.

I don't know if I want to face a Gator or snake ?

size matters, I've the snake eat the gator, and die !

I had a small boa constritor circa 1986, fed it a hamster, hamster killed the snake.
I'm not trying to be mean here but that's awesome! I wish could have seen that
