Protestor said 13 Million Dems will withdraw from the Dem Party on Thursday, in response to the corruption, favoritism, Betrayal of DNC.

If this happens will this be looked back upon as that History making 1st step that led to the creation of a Viable 3rd American Political Party?

There will be no viable third party this century.
I agree. Unless the US went to a Parliamentary type of government like Great Britain, I don't ever see a third party candidate having a chance for the presidency. As hated as both of these candidates are, Johnson is still getting only around 15% of the vote. I think that's the best an Independent will ever be able to hope for. This election year is a perfect storm for a third party candidate, and they're still not close...

I think we'll see a viable 3rd party sooner, rather than later. Perot was on the verge of making a real dent, before he went kinda bonkers, and before he named that fool as VP. More and more people are fed up with the Hypocrisy of both parties.
While I'm voting for Gary Johnson, he's not a compelling personality. I think if you had a really vibrant, common sense, great Communicator, compelling personality, like a Mark Cuban, running 3rd party this cycle, he'd have a somewhat realistic chance.
That will grow in 2020 if Hillary or Drumpf are as pathetic in office as they are as candidates.

Lots of conflict from within. Both sides are unhappy with themselves. If there is ever time for a 3rd party to emerge, it is now. This circus joke of an election may end up being one of the best things to happen to America. Trump & Hilary may have contributed more than they know :nohead:

I actually wish we would someday get a strong third party candidate with a powerful backing. I just have my doubts under this current political system that it will ever happen.

I tend to agree with you. Instead of those who say we won't see a 3rd Party this Century. That actually stuns me, can't fathom that, another 84 Years of This 2 Party Gridlock and no demand from the people for Evolution away from this primitive crap.

Wishful thinking, maybe. I've never been able to understand Party Loyalty though and particularly not now with what has been exposed, the fact that everyone fully knows Politicians are fake and the changes we've seen come to the Republican party.

I hope for that 3rd Party sooner than later.

You might be Underestimating this "Youth", these Millenials, Generation Z and....Alpha (born after year 2000). When you say "not within this Century".

That post stunned and depressed me. :(

Don't worry, parties change. In 50 years neither party will probably look anything like they do now. The scale moves right and left with different generations. Ronald Reagan moved the scale quite a bit right by the time he got out of office. Even the Democrats moved right. I see the scale slowly starting to move back left. But it could look totally different in just a few presidential terms depending on which party is winning and has the most success. That's politics. Stick around long enough, it will change...

Actually Bernie Sanders is the only "real" independent in the race. I don't know what Trump is since the only thing he's ever been is a reality show star who has never run for office. But he still carries a lot of the republican ideals.

Keep dreaming; money wins in politics, the duopoly controls the cash and, based on changing demographics, the electorate will continue to become less intelligent. Not good for any third party.

Weird, because for me Trump is more Democrat than Republican. He's a progressive/populist that's tough on the border. Take away Trump's border policy and he's pretty liberal.

I chose the pic knowing full well all of that, it was only supposed to represent:

a.) longtime party member turning his back on a Party

b.) what that might look like.

Old man burned his card cuz of some stuff months ago, having to do with Republicans.

I had no idea you fuggers were paying that much attention let alone were sharp enuff to catch this. :):)
