Because RX is footing the bill and those times are much much more $$$$, plus availability itself is difficult to book for popular weekends. Also, more people may be able to make it out during the summertime and without other things going on those weekends. Not thrilled about the heat part either but it's always 68 degrees in a casino.

Fair enough. Wasn't complaining, just wondering.

Ever since we got one of the nice rooms at PH last year, the old lady has been bugging me constantly about where we're staying this year. I told her to be patient...even though I'm definitely anxious to find out the location too!

We'll definitely be busy though: a friend of mine from Cleveland has never been to Vegas, and she already booked her room at Paris for that weekend. Then I found out my sister and her better half happen to be going to a friend's wedding in Vegas that weekend...and my old lady's mom, brother, sister in law, aunt and uncle booked their own rooms when they found out a bunch of us were already going. I feel like I'm coming with an entourage.

if I were to guess...my choices go to either Flamingo or MGM (NYNY in a distant 3rd only cause it has kind of a PH feel to it)

Am I close Rick?

Can't wait, Plane Tickets are done and only paid $269 RT Jet Blue

I will be there two days Before the Bash, and Leaving Two day After the Bash.

Wow, wonder why their prices are so low?

Good point...that actually makes me hope all of our schedules won't be free to go out and eat at the same time. But yeah, I know what you mean...a buddy of mine went out to eat (can't remember where) with a group of 20 (bachelor party) not long ago and after all the booze, fine meals, desserts, etc...he said their final bill came out to something like $3,300.

Incidentially, my Ohio friend wants to go to the Beatles show at the Mirage, but even though I'm not an expert on Cirque de Soleil shows...there has to be a better one than that? Anyone have any suggestions? I'd even prefer Lance Burton to the Beatles...

Cirque de Soleil is having a great deal on 5 of their shows. Tickets are limited but here are some $50 tickets available to some of the shows.
Limited to shows from Sunday thru Thursday but offer is good untill August 31st. This is hard to pass up.

Not to be an ass, but why do you have the bash during the hottest month of the year and when there are no real sports to bet on? Wouldn't Sept/October or March Madness/Final Four weekend make more sense?

It was 106 last September during the Bash. It was no big deal, not the same as the heat in the midwest.
