I will be at this game, Iowa student, and I like the Iowa State +8 play, but not the ISU ML play....Iowa State will keep it close due to the rivalry, but Iowa will hold on. Iowa has won 80% of their games at home since Carver-Hawkeye has opened and the home team has won the last 5 games in this series.
I hate it, but I have to side with Iowa in this matchup. I'm a little scared of the "8", but I'd be even more afraid taking 'State.
Iowa plods along with a very deliberate style and doesn't turn the ball over. They're very efficient and they're at home where they are undefeated in this young season.
I agree Iowa has played a few "cupcakes" except for the Kansas St game, but Iowa St. hasn't beaten any team rated higher than 269th in Div. 1. While Iowa St has some decent numbers, they are compiled against opposing defenses rated 338.....and thats out of 344 teams.
I'll need to see more before I hop on the State bandwagon.
