12/11/03 First NHL plays

Hi all....I figured I'd start throwing my hat into the hockey forum. I'm no SSI or B&G or Ivan when it comes to winning here but I've always been decently consistent. Here we go for tonight:

Bruins at Caps OVER 5.5 +105

4 of the last 5 in this series has gone over 5.5 and the Over is 6-1 in the Caps last 7 home games. Boston scoring 3 a game on the road and the Caps giving up 3 a game at home. Caps scoring 3.1 goals a game at home and Boston is allowing 2.33 goals a game on defense on the road but they are struggling on the road just 1-3 L4 ATS and 1-3 L4 ATS as a favorite. I think the goals will come here.

I'll post the others later since this one is about to start. G/L

Maple Leafs -111 at Wild

Leafs are road killers this year going 12-6 ATS L18 away from Toronto. They are also on fire ATS with an 8-1 ATS record in their last 9 games. Toronto is also 10-6 ATS on one day's rest this year. Minny has played better of late but they are just 1-4 ATS L5 at home and are below .500 at home for the season. The Wild are scoring only 1.8 goals per game at home and allowing almost 33 shots a game there in their last 5 games. I think the Leafs get it done here.

Flames -0.5 -103 vs Canes
Carolina is an awful road team with just a 3-8-3-0 record. They are just 3-8 ATS on one day's rest. Carolina is also just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 on the road and are coming off a surprising 3-2 win at Edmonton. Canes are getting shots averaging over 30 a game on the road but they are not quality shots and the scoring average is showing it (1.71/game). The Flames are good at home SU and ATS (9-4-1-1) and 10-5 ATS in their last 15. Flames are also 8-2 ATS L10 overall and 6-3 ATS on one day's rest. Flames are scoring 2.33 goals/game at home and the Canes are allowing 3.21 goals/game on the road. Canes scoring 1.71 goals/game on the road and Calgary is only allowing 1.93 goals/game at home. Canes road power play is pathetic at just 8.2 percent against the Flames 86.6 percent penalty killing. Meanwhile the Flames are lights out on the PP at home (19.1 percent) against a Canes road PK that is mediocre (83.3 percent). Flames should ROLL in this one.

Good luck tonight...

i try and be good over the long haul.. building a bankroll and playing a small % on each play is very key.. as in anything else, its about money management and discipline.... this is a viable investment, if treated as such.. thanks for your kind words, looking forward to what will be a long season...

OK one late game:

Sharks -0.5 EVEN vs Oilers

Going against a struggling Edmonton team on the road as they have been bad lately going 1-7 in their last 8 ATS. Oilers are also 1-3 ATS in their last 4 on the road and 4-7 ATS this season away. They are an abysmal 3-6-2-0 away straight up and are scoring just 2.09 goals/game on the road. Oilers are also allowing 3.36 goals/game and 30 shots when playing away. They are averaging 1.60 goals/game in their last 5 while allowing 2.60 goals/game on only 26 shots. The Oilers power play is dreadful on the road at 4.2 percent and they are just as bad killing penalties at a 74.6 percent clip. Ugly, ugly numbers for this team. The Sharks on the other hand are doing well lately with a 7-2 ATS record in their last 9 games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 at home. They are 4-0 ATS when playing on 0 days rest and they did play last night and lost at Anaheim so they really didn't have far to go to turn around and play tonight. Shark power play is better at home (14.8 percent) and they are killing penalties at home at an 88 percent clip (much better special teams than Edmonton) and look for them to get the power play rolling tonight. Can't go against the Sharks the way they are playing lately and considering the way EDM has been embarrassing on the road I don't worry about giving the half goal.

Good luck...
