Morning everybody, hope you all had a successful night last night.

Woke up to see LAD as +141 home dogs, which makes me want to take them, but I'm a Boston guy and know that Lester is just absolute nails in these games. If the Cubs bats go back to sleep, I could see him losing a 2-1 game or something like that, but this guy is absolute BALLS.

What do you guys think about tonight's game? Would love to hear everybody's opinion. GL tonight

there's no way I'm betting against Lester in this situation. I don't like the "higher juice" but I'm taking the Cubs.

Cubs will win next two games. Look for blow out win tonight and a nail bitter in game 6 2-1, to beat Kershaw.

Cubs are favored for a reason in this game. Bats "woke up" yesterday and Lester on the mound. First game of playoffs we really hit across the board, but 4 errors didn't hurt in taking some pressure off. Will they "stay awake" today, who knows but I like our chances against Maeda.

Lester wasn't shutdown sharp G1, but was very effective. Dodgers were worst against lefties in the regular season and Maddon packed the BP full of them this series. Dodgers showed signs of bunting to make Lester field his position and trying to be aggressive stealing bases, but never really pulled the trigger on the bunting. I think they go extra aggressive on that front today to try to produce early runs.

I think (hope) Cubs win, so like Varkey's -1, at about -120 probably. Runline at only +110 I don't think is worth it as a bet itself. Can see the total going either way.

It's +141 cause Maeda is on the mound. If it were Kershaw, Dodgers would obviously be favored.

Wouldn't count out Maeda though, Dodgers nearly won game 1 if it weren't for Joe Blowaton grooving that fat burger right down the middle on a 0-2 count.

That's how I'm leaning, Chugs, thanks for your input. I honestly have to admit that I haven't watched any of his postseason starts this year, I'm just going on the fact that I know he's been generally good and that when he was in Boston he was just dominant in these types of games.

Exactly. Dodgers are only a big fav because john Lester is on the mound vs Maeda. Maeda sucks and Lester is amazing.....so why is line only -150ish? Should be at like -175 imo

In Chi it would be -180+, game is being played in a hostile LA environment, and its not like the Dodgers are a Triple AAA team. Any given night...

Line is where I would expect, considering CUBS have really only hit 1 game this far and LA are more than capable of winning.

GL to all!

Parlaying Cubs with Packers (very rarely do I parlay, but seems to make sense to me in this spot)

Very confident in the Cubs chances tonight. The most favorable possible pitching matchup for CHC in this series, especially because LAD can't hit lefties.

Maeda's been getting torched, Cubs bats are not intimidated by him, it's the other way around.

RL and ML for me.

Hope you hit on Cubs last night! I haven't looked through the whole board from yesterday, but hope nobody had the under, that would have been a giant tease the way the ball bounced in the top of the 8th. Come in 3-1 then three infield singles and an almost double play, turns into a 5 spot. Oh baseball!
