i wouldn't get excited yet.

Tigers have a big starting pitching advantage in last two games.

You're right, but the Rangers haven't won with starting pitchers in the entire playoffs. They haven't had a pitcher get through 6 innings and they're starting rotation is at a 5.0 ERA, and yet, they're 6-3 and a game away from the WS. The (arguably) most consistent hitter on the team, Young, is hitting a .162 in the postseason. It's just that guys like Cruz, Napoli, Beltre, Murphy, Hamilton, etc are driving in runs when needed and they have legit options at relief with Ogando, Adams and Oliver. It's unconventional to win without SPs stepping up in the playoffs, but they've been doing it.

not in arlington they dont. betting on a righty vs a lefty in arlington is a good way to waste money in the long run.....sure they win every now and then, but there is a reason the rangers like left handed pitchers and the reason is the ballpark in arlington. its so important for rangers to win game 6 its not even funny. ranger faithful def dont want to see the righty, pop fly pitching, colby lewis appear in game 7 against the tigers in arlington. i love colby lewis he is the ultimate team guy, but he is on the rangers team to win games on the road, not in arlington

CC might opt out, only because he knows he has the yanks by the nuts. He wont go anywhere though. No one can offer him more then the yankees. Now what texas has to worry about is him opting out for a longer contract at less per year allowing the yanks to keep him and take wilson.

the only reason CJ would leave the Rangers is for a National league team. He has said before he really likes to hit the ball, feels like he is more a part of the game. No chance in hell CJ would go to the yankees. I mean if the yankees were gonna make CJ the highest paid pitcher in baseball, which he def should not be anywhere close to that, but in that case maybe he would go to NY. But CJ isnt NY type of person by any means and CJ really likes playing for the rangers just like everybody else that plays for the rangers likes playing for the rangers.......there arent any pre-madonnas in texas!!!!

yeah, with CLIFF LEE......................rangers last year were better than yankees last year with the best pitcher in the game........

you say they are better now and i disagree.....

i dont watch ESPN so i dont know what hype u are talking about... yanks head to head this year were BETTER than the rangers, and had a better record in a harder division..... my case is rested

thank you

head to head better, but right now are they better is questionable. Texas playing excellent ball going into the playoffs (Yanks didnt have to play hard to end the season so hard to compare). Yanks pitching heading into playoffs was a bit of a mess except for CC and some of the bullpen guys.

it was very close, but i'm certainly glad Texas didnt have to play the Yanks. Texas beat Yanks last year, but with HFA I'm not sure Texas woulda pulled the repeat upset. Debatable....and we'll never know

overall though, Texas is better this year. THey may miss Lee but they have Beltre/Napoli to replace him, as well as a pretty deep pitching staff and more experience from all the returning players. Texas misses the super ace that Lee brought, but i think they are a better and more confident team than the 2010 version

In my opinion the Rangers would have beat the Yanks. Rays were good this year no matter how you look at it but the Rangers just made them look mediocre after game 1 due to solid pitching and play.
