When you play a tougher schedule, it can be assumed you are a better team. Playing teams week after week you are favored by 5 TD's make you better?
And don't get me wrong, Im not on the Boise bandwagon or anything. I don't have a favorite college team. But I am totally against the BCS system and am in favor of a playoff where the championship is decided on the field and not by computers where strength of schedule is the most important thing...
They are garbage, who have they really beaten? Their best win was against Wisconsin. I am sorry but wins against Western Michigan, Florida Atlantic, & Northern Colorado are not that impressive. They were also life & death to beat Notre Dame & Northwestern and we all know how good they are. Also should we really be impressed with them beating Illinois?
Virginia Tech & Oregon State would beat everyone Michigan State has played so far.
You have to win the games too.
Being a West Coast guy you do realize a win over OSU in September is not all that great, Riley for as good as a coach he is, doesn't have the team ready in September. So Boise resume stiill stinks ! Va Tech isn't anything. I don't have a problem with Boise in top 5, just not in the game unless most of the major teams have 2 losses
Being favored by 35-40 points every week over stiffs don't prove anything to me. How many of those kinds of spreads do the rest of the undefeated teams see in a year in the BCS Conferences ?
