Exactly. The NFL is missing out on a Public relations Bonanza, all because of what amounts to pocket change to them. The NFL should give this guy a million, celebrate him and the tape as pieces of their history, instead of their pettiness.If it's the only copy then why not buy it at a fair price and make money off it?
I wouldn't buy it for $20 unless I knew I could sell it for much more. An old grainy VHS tape of guys who were brick layers and hung drywall in the off season. I bet that game was incredibly boring. Probably running the wing T offense. Only fun part of it would be seeing guys get taken down by their facemask with no flag thrown.
I think some lawyer could sell that since the NFL is refusing to purchase this that is fore fitting their first right of refusal at this tape. Once they refuse then the guy should be allowed to take it to the open market.
