Wisconsin -6.5 2 units (total, not adding to it)
Had more to say about Purdue but it's about to tip...both of these games remind me of games last night - Purdue of Wake, just a better team on the road at a small price...Wisconsin of G'Town. I see a lot of people saying Minnesota isn't getting enough respect and that this line is too high (similar to what was said about Cuse last night). I actually had Minn as one of my big sleepers coming into this season and they have done about what I expected, but I do not feel they are better than Wisconsin. Wiscy is a very tough place to play and while 6.5 in a slow paced game isn't an irrelevant number, I am expecting Wisconsin by double-digits here. First of all, Minnesota is a completely untested road team. They have played Colo St (won by 1) and Iowa (won by 3). Couple nice results on neutral courts, but they looked very sloppy at Iowa and an effort like that in Wisconsin should have them down double-digits by the half. One thing Minnesota does pretty well is hit the offensive glass but Wisconsin is as good as any team in the country and keeping the opposition off it and while Wisconsin doesn't afford themselves a ton of second chance oppos they make up for that by not turning it over and shooting it well from the outside - which are probably the two best ways to beat this Minnesota team. I really just feel this Wisconsin team is too physical for Minnesota to beat at home at this point..and while I'm a little down on Wisconsin I think everyone is jumping ship a little too soon. Their 4 losses have come to UConn, Marquette, Texas and Purdue with all but the first being close (and only Texas at home). Maybe they won't cover the number but I feel strongly they win the game and I expect them to stretch it to double figures before it's all said and done.
