Kojack - the 10 points ND is getting looks jucier than a big steak(and that has to be a factor in a BIG Monday game where a great deal of public $ will be wagered) but being a Pitt fan, I've seen them wear teams like ND down too many times at home. Pitt had a tough 2OT game Saturday vs. Miami and had a less than brilliant defensive showing. Most times I would say tonight could be a flat spot but not at home on ESPN. I really expect that Pitt will have a great defensive game tonight as they saw what can happen if they slack off. Chris Thomas will find the going a little tougher tonight than at Nova Saturday. I see Pitt pulling away in the second half. If you haven't seen Pitt's freshman center Chris Taft play yet, you are in for a treat tonight.
I still don't understand why you guys are so high on W. Michigan? Since when do they deserve to be 12 point favs? They have a good record, but they're not beating quality opponents by double digits. Right now Marshall is a quality opponent.
Marshall is coming off of a close loss to Kent St. 61-63, beat C. Michigan 72-63, beat UAB 68-66....not to mention playing their last game vs. W. Michigan close 75-79.
W. Michigan on the otherhand beat up a terrible Buffalo team last game, beat Akron 83-75, beat Arizona St. 81-76 and also barely escaped a Winthrop team 76-71.
........... I'm more lead to believe that the line is inflated because of the fact W. Michigan had their way with that Buffalo squad. Just my two cents guys.
