Have you ever been to a GA meeting? I've thought about going a few times before, but I never did. My fear is that I would go and everyone would start telling gambling stories and then my juices would really get going and I would want to gamble even more.

For me the Anger that I get when I lose for out weighs the joy I get from winning. I think that is what keeps me from having a problem. I get so mad when I am down to a local guy that I might settle up in the middle of the week or even on a sunday morning just to wipe the slate clean.

For the last 2 years I feel like I have it under control. Right now I'm 28 but when I was 19-21 I went to the dog track every night I could and I lost a lot of money (for a 19 year old kid working at Sears). Then when I turned 21 I got hooked on casinos. All throughout the my 20's I would win tons of money playing Gin, Poker, and dominos at the local country club but I would just end up losing it to the casinos.

i have been there..did it for a couple of months when i was young

16 years ago..was 21 yearsold

owed about 14 grand did not have it,life was twisting and turning

remember betting 7grand on the lakers at minus 7.5
against portland so when i win i would only be down 7 dimes.

make a long story short lakers when by 7.......

ohhhhhh those were the days......NOT!!!!
at that point in my life i probably answered yes to every single question

every one..

i go agree to jj to a point about g.a...
i remeber a guy who told me i should think about quitting my job because i had a bunch of stock options in my company that i can cash out on.. worked there 4 years full time stock options worked out very nice..

says i was still gambling..
