gonna need rounds for those 86,000 new IRS agents that Biden is hiring to, you know, go after the billionaires to pay their fair share. that would be around 1000 agents per billionaire which of course means they're going after small businesses and the middle class to rape another few thousand bucks a year out of them or just putting them out of business so Blackrock can buy up their offices and homes

The IRS is short staffed as it is and plenty more are retiring.

Have you tried calling them these past 2 years? You'll stay on hold forever and then they will hang up on you due to heavy call volume

Have you tried mailing anything into them? If they respond within 6 months, you'll be lucky

These agent hirings will be over a 10 year span. Biden has been saying for a while that he was going to increase agents.

I dont think they are coming for the14 year old who received $1,000 in venmo from babysitting money.

Regarding the job posting, one of my neighbors actually does this for a living. Works for the IRS and carries a gun with him. He goes after the fraudsters and big scammers. The person who collected $400 from fantasy winnings isnt going to be held by gunpoint by an IRS agent

As of Jan. 1, mobile payment apps like Venmo, PayPal and Cash App are required to report commercial transactions totaling more than $600 per year to the Internal Revenue Service.

The change to the tax code was signed into law as part of the American Rescue Plan Act, the Covid-19 response bill passed in March.

Previously, these mobile payment apps only had to tell the tax authorities when a person had over 200 commercial transactions per year that exceeded $20,000 in total value, the IRS said.

Starting Jan. 1, the IRS said, if a person accrues more than $600 annually in commercial payments on an app like Venmo, then Venmo “must file and furnish a Form 1099-K” for them — reporting on all the commercial income they collected through the app.

In an explanatory document on the new tax changes, the IRS said these changes also apply to people who sell items on internet auction sites like eBay and people who "have a holiday craft business" so long as they accept payments through these apps.

Where did it say that these 90k agents would ALL be armed?
