The Denver Nuggets caught the break of a lifetime last year when the Miami Heat upset the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Could Denver had beaten Boston? Maybe or maybe not but one thing is for sure, the Celtics would have been a tougher match up than Miami!!
The Heat were no match for the Nuggets who took the series 4-1.
Now to this year.
In the opening round, the Nuggets took care of the Lakers 4-1.
However, if you watched the series objectively, you would have seen the Lakers absolutely outplayed Denver.
LA had double digit leads in the first 4 games of the series and in the deciding game 5, they led by 1 with 1:33 to go.
Denver got exposed by LA and now here comes the T'wolves who exposed them in game one and will continue to expose them tonight.
The T'wolves and Nuggets have now met 5 times this year but only 2 of those 5 meetings have both teams been at full strength.
Minnesota has won both.
The first meeting on November 1st in Minnesota was dominated by the Wolves 110-89 and the 2nd was game one of this series, won by the T'wolves 106-99.
If you watched game one closely you will see Jamaal Murray is not 100% and the 2-headed monster of Karl Anthony Towns and Rudy Gorbert is a problem for Denver.
And Denver has no answer for the Ant Man Anthony Edwards.
Folks, the T'wolves are the #1 defensive team in the NBA and that presents a problem for Denver.
I took the T'wolves in game one and I will grab the points here again in game two.
They will not lay down to the defending champs.

Well that was frustrating to watch.
Up 18 with under 5 minutes to go in the first half, my 75 dimer on the Magic looked great.
I said to myself, don't let Cleveland go on a run in these last 5 minutes and the Magic will have a real shot of winning the game outright.
