This nonsense has been repeated over and over. The best team is the most deserving they proved it on the field. What if an MLB team has the 15th best record but the best record last 30 games? Does that mean they have showed improvement and are the best team currently? It is such an opinionated term. You have to give the team that did what it was suppose to do. Imagine if 2007 Brady got hurt at the end of the Championship game and was gonna be out for the SB and they just decided the to put the Chargers in because they would be beter than Pats without Brady.

Still think the committee has no idea what they are doing. If they want the four best teams, you could make a significant argument against WSH/TEX/FSU and argument for UGA/OSU. If you want the most deserving, both WSH/FSU should be in.

Next year, having twelve is just stupid. Now we get to see teams like Ole Miss and PSU get in after getting skull dragged every year in their two biggest games against teams already in the playoff. Should have just done eight, in nearly every year teams 9-12 just don’t cut it and lost their chance during the season, on the field, against teams that are already in.

Florida State was playing for the #5 slot as the #4 seed

They really should’ve just said from the start of this whole process that the SEC champ is an auto bid lol

As it should be. They’re the most powerful and dominant conference in the last 15 years if not more. Not to mention the money the SEC brings in for the playoffs. And again the best 2 teams in the country played against each other yesterday.
