I'm going to start off the 2023-2024 season with my one and only futures bet. The amount listed is my personal wager not what I recommend anyone else to bet. If you follow, bet what you can afford as all of our bankrolls vary in amount and we also all have a different tolerance level with how much we risk betting on sports.

Ohio State Buckeyes +750 (Ceasars)

To be honest, I really don't have a favorite team. I used to really like the Sooners. I watched all their games for years when I could. Other than that I don't/ wouldn't bet on any team simply if I was a fan. As far as my bet is concerned I'm pretty confident in the Buckeyes this season.

Looks like they have two good QB prospects, but both are unproven... they have plenty of talent around the starter, and time to be ready by the Michigan game.

Most folks looks at Ohio State and think explosive offense. Really think it depends on Knowles and his defense. Will the D step it up this year? If they do it should put them in the championship game. Offensive line biggest question mark but I think they'll be OK.

But then there is Lady "Bad" Luck. Injuries to key players can kill a team's chances. Have to have that good luck and avoid those injuries. Have seen so many Ohio St/Michigan games decided by who was the healthiest at the end of the season.

OSU has a pattern of some their star players sitting out after regular season to protect draft position. Not to mention Michigan will probably win the Big10. Good luck, but don't think anyone but the SEC will be winning it again.

Decent odds here. For every $200 hundred bet to win the championship a $100 bet can be made for the conference just in case they fall short for the championship and that will get close to your money back. I'll prob do that also but haven't yet. If I do make that wager I'll post my bets. I feel pretty strongly regarding a championship for the Buckeyes and that will give a little insurance.
