Very nice sir.

Too bad you missed out, I got U99.5 -110 at WSEX (I know, I know) and it closed at Pinny at -128. Not sure if it will win yet, but either way I'm stoked about getting an 18 cent edge!

that is what it is all about getting good wagers. I don't watch 1 second of the games. I would rather look for good bets.

Good thread....Thanks Ice, for the insight on the Pinny lean. I've been playing second half NBA sides/totals with the lean.

Yep, based on the line movement, I saw that U98 would be a great line... where (other than Pinny) did you see it at? Most books apparently had 97.5 for most part with some down to 97 (and even 96.5).

At beginning, I did see Pinny have U98 at -11x (forgot the nbr) but it kept going up to -121, -123, -125 before Pinny changed to U97.5 -113, etc.

Looked like Pinny opened a half-point higher but I'm curious where 98 was intitally posted. Never mind, let me guess... Greek? :)

On a smaller scale, Dallas -3 2H did inch upwards in juice at Pinny... (they are leading by 12 at half; exactly the game spread)... so I did hit Dallas -3 2H when it was -110 on Bodog. Later, both Bodog and Pinny continued to go up (Pinny showing -121; Bodog -115 now).

Just an action play on my part, really. Sorry for the mini-clutter.

Keep youe eye on Boston +9 and Miami -7.5 right now. Not quite there yet but worth watching. This is not steam just showing the Pinny lean. steam wil come and in CBB it is the best.

and both winners but I am not sure I would have played either of these as they fall under Pinny leans but were toss up decisions (I did have Boston +9 closed 8.5 but was right around a -120 line at Pinny)

I've been doing the lean for two weeks. A few full NBA games thrown in. I've been doing well. It does take a bit though.....ten windows open, watching the juice/number right up until the tip off or start of the second half. That's what I've been doing. 2-1 for the night so far.....good in my book.

real good question. I tell my partner (a guy I took under my wing) is that I like to teach people and really enjoy it but I think sometimes I think maybe assume they understand me a little more than they do.

I started scalping and mostly middling this time last hoops season as a poster (randy rohm) showed and expalined everythig to me. After a while I started to realize that I was beating the bad number way more than the good number so I asked around and few at Fezziks place (who IM'd me) and showed me some more tricks. I also read between the lines on a ton of posts as alot of guys don''t like to tell to much. They bascially said just bet the bad number (the one that moved). I then watched the Fezzdaq everyday. There was zero capping involved in that.

Go to the search function and look up Pinny lean to learn more. As for steam plays you need as many tools of the trade as you can get it makes your life alot easier. Dual monitors, dynammic lines, lots of outs, square books, line service and decent bankroll help. Can't stress 2 monitors enough. Like I have said earier practice scalping/middling and you will get way better. If it makes you feel better my partner has failed to make these bets online and I have just let him be in charge of calling locals only. If you have a local you willbuyr him if he is not up to date with line moves.

I think you do assume people know more than they do plus this can be a little involved. You may need the dual monitors and line service and certainly the square books. Not easy. But you still have taken the time to be nice and explain...you are absolutely correct that people do not like to give away information. Unreal. You have done more than everyone else would so that is important that you are a class guy. Yeah Bob McCune in his book on line moves said to bet the moves and go with it...in other words bet the bad line but that does not work. No way. I understand the Pinny lean now. ICe, tell me where i am wrong here. Fezz was betting non WA lines and games. THose lines where not there. Let me post games well after the line moves and we could win too. AM I WRONG? He posted a bunch of plays with lines from Pluto. That was how I saw it. I wish I could pay to sit with you and learn. That is the best way.

Well guys, I want to thank you for posting steam plays and 2nd halves the night I happened to be in a meeting!!!! It figures, the night I'm out you guys all have time to do this!!!:lolBIG:

Anyways, looks like a solid night.....I was able to get in on one late steamer but that is all....looks like I missed out on a few more winners.

I tried calling (2) locals in between meetings, and of course..........one guys line is busy busy busy and the other guys liines were so off I couldnt tell what was steamed and what wasnt without a monitor in front of me. As it turns out, I wouldve pounded his lines and won them all:(

POPS--- I think ICE and I feel the same way about which games are the true steam and which ones are not...............You just have to know what your looking for and when to look for it nowadays with the advent of the internet, etc..... I cant even explain it, but thereare definite tendencies you can pick up on with certain books, etc... As for the Nebraska game y-day, someone hit it overnight....along with W&M.......moving both of those lines....I considered neither as steam for myself.....Nebraska got killed and prior to tip, the sharps tried to middle the W & M game it appeared hitting VCU and moving the line 1-1.5 points before tip.

focus on beating the closing line. If your local has the line off bet the value EVERYTIME. You will own him. Locals are the easiest ones to beat of all this as most just get there number at around 6pm or and don't move. Just bet within your means. So what if Nebraska losses or anyone for that matter. Most times you are going to win 505 of your games but then those 5-10 out of 100 when you have the good number it is going to come into play and bingo you are going to go over the hump.

practice does make perfect you are right. I know I have gotten way beter in the past year.

As for the Fezzdaq you are dead on. I was doing the same thing as he was and he was posting absurd lines. I would be screen watching all day and I never seen any of the numbers he posted. The thing is he has a ton of outs and you will come to realize that is the whole key to making this work, place like WSEX and the like are just to hard to beat so this whole offshore scare has really got me sick with the possibilities that some books will close. Throught it all I will never question Fezzik as I think he is brilliant.
