I like Joe, hopefully he recovers and plays better

I'm also saying he really hasn't accomplished much just yet. Don't think he wants to be the next Tony Romo 😀

And I would take Tony Romo TODAY over Mac Jones

Jones just makes too many catastrophic mistakes to be a winner. He's too much for any team to overcome. I can't stand watching him

The Dallas game broke my back. I so far off his bandwagon, I can't even see it anymore

I can’t believe they lost that game with Joe at QB crazy if only had thrown the ball away
The forum conspiracy idiot doesn't realize Burrow played like a maniac that day

Changing plays that Zac was calling too

Tony Romo won 2 playoff games his whole career

Burrow was drafted to one of the worst organizations in sports and is 5-2 in the playoffs already, two 3-pt losses. 5/7 games as an underdog too

I get where you are coming from in that it's early/no titles/etc. But even getting 5 playoff wins and a Super Bowl appearance are things a lot of very solid QB's never get

Will y'all send Belichick to Cincinnati please?
There are calls around here to do something like that.

Not me. The greatest coach of all time is still the greatest coach of all time.

I just wish he were a better general manager.

Only if he takes Mac Jones with him

He's still the X's and O's guy, especially on defense. Maybe they do need a new GM

1 thousand one 1 thousand two before 1 thousand 3 the ball should be out of your hand Joe! Another option is for Bengals to call up Da La Cruz from the Reds… Seriously Joe looks puzzled and seems Stressed/nervous like he’s expecting the worst… Huge disappointment….

Favorites in Arizona where the Cards beat Boys….. Good Luck

They have a collaborative process for personnel moves, he just has final say. You don’t think he should have final say?

If he’s gonna remain employed, I’d say he should. That’s what is supposed to be part of his advantage. He picks the players he can use with synergy.

If he can’t do that anymore and should just be any other coach then I’d say turn the page. Deal him to one of the teams he’s talked to and start over. Kinda moot since he would never agree to cede that type of control anyway. He’s telling Kraft GTFO before that.

Replacing him with Mayo seems dumb to me, but that’s separate issue. You should be trying to find the next young offensive mine, not the next rah rah former player.

I'll take Mac Jones as a backup. We have to keep playing Joe as this injured version of himself because we don't trust our backup at all.

And yes I think their needs to be a division of labor in New England between the coach and GM

I don't buy this at all. I think he is trying to downplay the severity of the injury.

No one in the franchise can step up to him and overrule him it seems. There's gotta be a lot of people in that building who thinks he can't play

Also it's the 4th quarter of the Titans game, and you're down 27-3

WHY THE HELL IS HE STILL IN THERE?

"Oh we can still score 3 touchdowns and 3 2-point conversions to tie the game?"

Bruh you've score 3 points all game! 3 TD's all season!

It's a joke

Pretty much all top tier coaches have significant input in personnel decisions. No way is someone like BB ceding final say in that. That’s a public neutering.

He should have input and some say in signing off on it, but they need someone to do more of the legwork there

That’s basically what it is now, they have draft bros like every other team. Matt Groh main guy, son of former NE DC Al Groh. He got a psychology degree too.

But BB ain’t gonna take a demotion to Elberflus status or some other random HC like the media is framing it. He wpuld say I’ll build a ramp to your ass like Richie Aprile told Paulie and Silvio after he paralyzed Beansie and they said you should make his home disability friendly.

Not to derail the thread but burrow issue been same thing for a month, not much to add.

He’s still end all be all, he has all the final say. Just when people say he should have less say, less say would really just be the final decisions or there being an actual GM.

Don’t see him giving that up in any real way. Maybe an optics move I guess at most.

It sounds nice but in the real world with real egos, you’re either in the BB business or you ain’t I’d say. And if you ain’t, someone else will be (atleast possibly) Not really something that can be half measured I don’t think.

Yeah I guess

Honestly if I was Bill I would just retire. I would've done it after Tom left

Guy is old
