RUGGED APPEAL showed virtually nothing in his debut. However, he has since come back with two very sharp works and I can forgive the last since it was on a sloppy track. The price will be there - let's see if the talent is.

Race 3
WAY TO GO DAD has hinted at some ability in the past and gets Castanon today. TOUCH SOFTLY has run three consecutive big races only to come away with three seconds. Both these horses will be bet pretty hard and that will hopefully give us some value on the 3 horse, ON EXHIBIT. He has run two sprints where he had trouble at the start in each. Now he goes 7f and the extra ground coupled with a good start will be the difference maker.
The bet: $8 ex 3/2,5 $5 ex 2,5/8
Race 5
BURDAKIN looks like a very good play against these until I see that he's never run well off the bench. LAST STAND is trying turf for the first time. I believe the turf breeding is there and will give him a shot.

I always try to find a price in these 2 yr old short sprints. MAGIC LINE shows a 1:02 work from the gate on May 2nd and is a ML 8-1. Why not?

Definitely some talent in this race. I'm looking to TRUPON ON to rush to the front from the rail and battle with STORM FLAG and ALL THE HONOR. This should set up the late chargers, CRAFTY BRAT and BELLA LAUREN. All things considered they both look pretty equal to me so I'll go with the higher price at post time.
