Nice to have a good night and get back in the positive. Small card tomorrow so I probably won’t have any bets. Best of luck if you bet anything.

I lean over in the Devils game and the Ducks ML, but I’m going to pass tonight.

I will see if I have time to look into the NHL card tomorrow. There are only four games anyway. Usually my time is spent handicapping and watching the NFL on Sunday’s. Nice to hit that Blues game in the shootout at a big price.

Tricky back to back for Boston. They played a great game in Colorado last night and lost in a shootout. Now they go to Arizona and play in a college venue against a lesser team. Tough to get up for this game. Ullmark is certainly good enough to steal one in net. I will take what I believe to be a good price on Arizona to pull the upset. GL

Nice OT goal and win from the Islanders. Let’s get that sweep.

The Bruins overtime woes continue. As soon as regulation ended, I had an uneasy feeling. It only took about 45 seconds to confirm that feeling. I went 1-1 in OT tonight which is fair. Overtime and shootouts are a coin flip to begin with. Only two games tomorrow so there’s a good chance I will not have any action.

Flyers/Wild under 6 (-120), 2*

The more I looked at this game, I think betting under 6 is worthwhile. I don’t mind laying -120 or -125, as long as you get 6. If you only have access to 5.5, I would pass. There’s always the chance that someone is up 3-2 and gets an empty net goal. GL

The under looked great until the third period rolled around. I’m not sure if I will have time to handicap any hockey this weekend with the nfl playoffs and a big college basketball slate. I will do my best.

I think I will have another bet or two. Just waiting on some goalie info and things of the like.

Future

John Tortorella to win the Jack Adams (+1200), 2*

I believe if the Flyers make the playoffs, Tortorella will have a very strong case to win coach of the year. I know Tocchet and Bowness are the favorites right now, but I think Torts can move up the way Stefanski did in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns. He is a well respected coach who has a team with lower expectations two points out of first in the Metropolitan. Maybe he loses, but I think 12/1 is strong value at this point of the season.

I have the Devils season points total under, so them losing helps me in that regard. Still, that was a very disappointing result last night.
