March 2nd

Providence -2.5 (-110), 1*
Iowa State -3.5 (-110), 1*
Alabama -2.5 (-110), 1*

I will have a bunch of additions tomorrow. I like Baylor, but the line has already gone up a couple points and I don’t know if I want to lay -5.5/6. If you like Virginia tomorrow against Duke as big dogs, you should like the under. Those results seem correlated. I don’t think Virginia is going to suddenly have a big offensive output. If they keep this one close, this should be a 63-59 type of game. They cannot let Duke get to 70. Nobody wants Michigan State after back to back bad losses. This might be the time to jump in. The Gonzaga/Saint Mary’s game is interesting. Usually Saint Mary’s are the dogs and are trying to hand Gonzaga their first conference loss. The shoe is on the other foot this year. Saint Mary’s won by 2 in Gonzaga in their first matchup. The Zags have won seven straight. Six straight against conference opponents by 13+ and a four point win against Kentucky. I often bet the dog in these games who is always Saint Mary’s. This year it is Gonzaga and I think I’m going to back them tomorrow. South Florida has won 13 straight and are 3.5 point dogs at Charlotte. That line tells me to bet Charlotte or nothing. Creighton are 4.5 point favorites at home versus Marquette. There is a lot to digest this week. I will look at totals tomorrow morning too before I post additional bets.

Portland +4 (-110), 1*
Gonzaga +2.5 (-110), 1*

The Portland line just moved to 3.5 at a number of places. I would really try to get 4, but would still bet 3.5.

Virginia/Duke under 125.5 (-110), 1*

In the end, I can’t stomach Virginia +10. I would rather bet the under and if they keep it close, this game is more then likely going under anyway. There are also some Duke blowouts where the under comes in also. I am still eyeing a few games. Michigan State, Houston under and BYU specifically.

NC Central -6 (-110), 1*

Normally, I would look to fade Duke tonight. Quick turnaround from their game on Saturday. They have a rematch with UNC this weekend. However, Duke is only one game behind UNC in the conference standings. If they win their last two games, they are guaranteed at least a share of the regular season title. I need to think about this one a little more.

Florida -1.5 (-110), 1*

I really like Florida today. They had Alabama beat on the road the first time they played and Alabama made a huge comeback to force OT. Alabama ultimately pulled the game out in OT by five. I think Florida gets their revenge today. I believe Florida will be dangerous in the SEC tournament and a sleeper worth betting depending on their draw in the NCAA tournament.

I will have some conference tournament bets for the mid majors tonight as well along with potentially a couple more bets for tonight. GL

I like Western Illinois a little bit here. I think Morehead State is overpriced. I can’t blame anyone for betting Little Rock or Western Illinois.

I have nothing on the Big South. High Point should be the favorite, but I don’t feel like laying -120.

I should have gotten the Horizon and Atlantic Sun futures up earlier then I did. I will check and see what the odds are tomorrow and let you know if I would bet those numbers.

5-1 on my sides and totals. Unfortunately, both my Atlantic Sun futures went down by a combined five points. I counted those losses in my record for today and season long stats. Still turned a small profit today despite that. I would still bet Purdue Fort Wayne at the current odds to win the Horizon. Youngstown State’s odds haven’t changed.
