Guns have always been a part of American life. I've always been pro gun and felt safe having a gun in the house. But we have to face facts. Kids are dying, mass shootings everywhere. Time to give up our love for guns.
Look at countries with strict gun controls. Constant mass shootings are unheard of.
AT THE VERY LEAST, high capacity magazines gotta go.
Guns are seldom used as self defense even if bought for that purpose.
Legally owned guns are often stolen by criminals for the purpose of a crime.
Think about how many arguments, road rage incidents, fights at the supermarket parking lot etc etc turn into deaths because one or more parties had a gun. Simple arguments, fist fights turn into shootings and death.
Armed civilians are unlikely to stop crimes and are more likely to make dangerous situations, including mass shootings, more deadly.

Guns have got to go and it's funny that the conservatives always want to keep the guns while far right domestic terrorist and white supremacists keep shooting up places. The school shootings weren't enough for America to wake up either. That's right folks! Until one of your kids dies in a school shooting from a pissed off spoiled brat kid with daddy's automatic that he stole, you probably just won't get it.
Remember in Norway when 77 people died from a far right wing attacker? Norway woke up pretty fast. So did Britain and other countries. It's just America that won't let go and it's mostly the right wingers who are ok with kids dying and people getting shot up, as long as they get to keep their guns. Oh and they will spin the narrative so much that even they can't untangle themselves out of their own nonsense and propaganda about why guns are good LOL. It's downright evil.
GUNS HAVE GOT TO GO.
Look at Britain. They smartened up and they don't see nearly the chaos due to guns that we do. Not even close.
Guns will go. Mark my words. We cavemen that are Americans in terms of gun control will catch up with other civilized countries. It's just a matter of how many more innocent kids/people die before it happens. And how much more lying and deflecting the republicunts are willing to do to keep the guns. All in vain though. Guns will go. Sooner or later. Otherwise what we have going on in this country is not sustainable.

Until one of these weird but scary and violent people walk into YOUR kids' school, campus or workplace and shoots the place up with automatics or whatever and you lose loved ones who had NO CHANCE AGAINST GUNS, until then, you just won't get it.
Guns kill. And they kill a lot of people very fast. People kill not guns? Try telling that to those kids or people in the church etc when they had no chance against the bullets.
On a much smaller scale, how many road ragers or morons fighting over a parking spot won't kill if they weren't packing a legal concealed gun? Lots! Worst case they get into a fist fight. Nobody is carrying around a kitchen knife when they drive around or shop at the mall, and even if they did, you at least have a shot (pun intended, I'm sorry, not funny)
NRA defenders will deflect, deny, divert and twist stats, facts and logic to change the narrative to fit their views, but it's obvious to anybody with half a brain.
