The Rza Ghost, and even Capadonna all bring their A game to the table, sick album.

if you're into Doctor Octagon, and haven't heard of this one, although I'm sure you have it's one of the best albums to come out in the past 5 years, check it out:

Automator's best project:

Gorillaz should have another album coming out sooner or later. But I think Damon Albarn is working on a Blur album right now.

The concept of Deltron 3030 is perfect for Del. His lyrics are usually obscure and confusing, almost as if Del is living on another planet, another time, etc.

But Deltron 3030 is a sci-fi concept album that is supposed to take place in 3030, so Del *is* living in another time!

If you pay attention to Del's lyrics, he takes several shots @ the music industry and society in general.

.yep it's a shame Jeru and them fell out awhile back, but it's not many of us that would listen to a Jeru . After the Sun Rises in the East came out I thought we were looking at the second coming...

Can't forget Buckshot Shorty and BlackMoon the entire BCC for that matter Smif -N- Wessun still gets much play... I used to say early Hip Hop was the best...but between 92-96 MAN...I can rattle off some fresh ass shit that we just won't hear again <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Yep, 92-96 (or 92-97) was the best time for rap. Several artists (Dre, Snoop, Biggie, 2Pac) managed to be popular *and* create good music.

You had the similar thing in rock music. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against The Machine. Bands that were VERY popular, yet they still produced music that was appreciated by critics.

But then Puffy (and others) ruined the fun. Instead of <gasp> creating new beats & sounds, every producer decided their song had to:

1) Feature a popular R&B singer.
2) Sample a Top 10 disco/R&B hit from the previous 15 years.

As a result, hip-hop has become no different than pop music. It is all about image, nobody cares about the actual music.

I would say they have served less time than Terry Nichols, the Unibomber, etc ..
