Do snakes have elbows?

Give me 3 hours and i could show you things that could knock your socks off.

PS- Its funny, anybody that says teasers are bad bets, i quickly realize they are rank amatuers in the real world of sportsbetting.[/QUOTE]

I'm not so sure if it's that Fish, or if it could just be that some are old fashioned and haven't caught up with the times yet and still base their opinion of teasers being a bad decision striclty on that old myth. Regardless, I definitely agree with you......(No offense to anyone of course)

Hache Man, if you are winning in nfl teasers I can almost guarantee you that you are winning at least 58% of your plays against the spread without the extra points! If you can hit 58% winners you do not need teasers, in fact you'll make more money betting on each game individually.

I agree with Fish. If one understands the math and knows what numbers have to be crossed, you will become a bookies nightmare. Also, the lower the total the less volatile the number is.

Hache Man and or everyone else. Last point on topic. Most of you are familiar with Ace Ace. Well Ace Ace has gone 7-2 on teasers. His picks on those teasers are 16-9 against the spread without the extra points! He's hitting 64% point spread winners on his teasers. I'll take 16-9 over 7-2, much more profitable! Just do the same with your picks, you'll be surprised!

phdinsports, I understand exactly what you're saying, and I can tell you know your numbers. You're right, there have been several occasions when I/we didn't need the teaser/extra points and the game would of won straight up......BUT.....that doesn't take away from the many times that they have actually helped. It's all about selecting the correct games, something one cannot rush in doing, and some may have difficulty with it, but with so many games available on weekends especially, it isn't much of a problem to narrow it down to a great wager.......

Giving your opinion is fine. However, telling people what to do is not.

You have a whole 40 posts to your name, and your theory makes no sense.

People who have had continued success with teasers should of course continue playing them.

Why are you trying to change the betting patterns of others?

Just wondering phd, did you even read the article? Teasers are not to be applied to every pick made to see how many covered. Further I never tease anything but the NFL myself. Lastly a large number of my teaser plays are plays I would never play straight. My contention is teasers are best looked at separate from most handicaping because solid EV situations come from teasers simply from the posted line and the team situation and not because I liked a team and wanted insurance points.

Teasers have very little to do with handicapping and more to do with math. Tonights game St Louis -3/Phil +3 is not a teaseable game. If St Louis drops to -2.5 then Phil would be the side to tease not St Louis.

First of all your logic is somewhat flawed. Your logic only holds true to someone teasing a PK line. I for one would never tease a PK line, because like you said it won't give me much of an advantage.

However, teasing a +9 line, as was the case with the browns last night was very smart. With a 7 point tease I am now getting a 16 point handicap, which is basicly 3 scores!

My NFL teasers usually win 90 percent of the time.

You do have to know a bit about the game to make it profitable. You can't tease without knowledge of stats and trends either.

If you know what you're doing teasers can be a great addition to your betting arsenal.

Your NFL teasers win 90% ??? You're kidding right?

Not kidding.

My MNF teasers are 100 percent so far.

Keep in mind I hit 90 percent of my 2 play teasers.

Needed to clarify that.

Let me ask this then.

With just the MNF 2 play teasers, what would you be up if you parlay-ed the same sides instead of teasing.

Honestly no idea Tony.

Some games I would have won more if I had just parlayed.

Some I would not have won.

I would say it is about 50/50

Just curious, how do you find time to post so much at The Rx? You should be sunning yourself on the French Riveria, paying someone big bucks to put your plays in for you! At those win percentages you should own 90% of the world. Perhaps you are a benevolent gambler, just winning enough from the unsuspecting sportsbooks to sustain your humble lifestyle?

I don't sell my picks, nor have ever claimed to be a great capper.

I just do well playing teasers.

It would not hurt for you to lose the attitude boss. Your response to me was completely uncalled for.
