It was a largely public Sunday in NFL Week 12 action, with favorites going 6-5 ATS and overs going 6-5. We also saw home field advantage strike back yesterday, with home teams going 8-3 SU and ATS. The public cleaned up on popular favorites like the Ravens (-3, beat Browns 16-10) and Bucs (-3, beat Colts 38-31). Contrarians cashed bigly on the Jets ( 2.5, beat Texans 21-14), Giants ( 4, beat Eagles 13-7) and Broncos ( 3, beat Chargers 28-13).

8:15 p.m. ET: Seattle Seahawks at Washington Football Team
This Monday Night showdown features two below .500 NFC teams trending in opposite directions. The Seahawks (3-7 SU, 5-5 ATS) started the season 2-2 but have gone just 1-5 since. Seattle just fell to Arizona 23-13, losing outright as 5.5-point home favorites. Meanwhile, Washington (4-6 SU, 3-7 ATS) has won two straight and just upset the Panthers 27-21, winning outright as 3.5-point road dogs.
This line opened with Seattle listed as a short 1.5-point road favorite. The early lookahead line on this game was Seattle -3.5 at some shops. Early in the week, big money steamed Washington, flipping the Football team from a 1.5-point home dog to a 1.5-point home favorite. Over the past few days, some buyback on Seahawks 1.5 has dropped the line down to a pick'em. According to BetMGM, 55% of bets and 56% of money is on the Seahawks. Monday Night Football home teams are 10-1 straight up this season.
The total hasn't budged off the opener of 46.5. The Seahawks are 8-1-1 to the under this season. Washington is 5-5 to the total. Primetime unders are 18-16 (53%) on the season, but are 16-8 over the past two months. The forecast calls for clear skies, low 30s with 5-10 MPH wind. Clay Martin, the lead ref, has historically favored road teams (66% ATS) and unders (57%)

Every media person on Earth saying:
"... two teams going in opposite directions"!
I lean to Washington based on the overall crappy Seattle offense, Wilson's finger being perhaps still not 100%, Wilson probably wanting out of Seattle, Carroll maybe on the way out, on the road with no hope they should not be fired up---out of the playoffs as of last game, vs Washington on a small win streak, good D, QB is playing adequately, they are at home--national TV night game on natural turf, should be fired up, still have an outside chance to make the playoffs with 7 games to play... looking at injuries, will probably make a WFT play small or regular TBD.

Almost every handicapper in the top ten of the Westgate Contest has Seattle.
