I thought I heard the UFC was trying to find a replacement for Masvidal, but Edwards wasn’t interested and planned to hold off expecting they’ll line him up with Usman next. Not sure if that’s accurate though.

UFC typically doesn’t like fighters waiting around, unless it’s the UFC forcing the waiting. Wouldn’t be shocked if they jump Edwards with Luque as a result.
Wouldn't surprise me with Edwards. Good luck with that. This fight was to help solidify the idea that folks might want to see Edwards vs Usman...

Good call, I forgot all about Luque. He's tough as nails! 4 fight win streak I believe too with the last loss to Thompson...

I do think Usman is probably a fade if anything going forward given price going to stay high. He's getting way too comfortable striking, I think he knows no one wants to see him wrestle like he did with Woodley/Masvidal. He's really abandoned his grappling in his last few fights and some of these guys in the division could tune him up. He's a decent striker for the skillset he has but Colby was hitting him cleaner in the last 3 rounds by a not insignificant amount, just has no power as we've discussed.

Dariush just accepted a fight with Thompson on the year end card. Dariush claimed he offered to step in for Masvidal prior to accepting the Thompson fight and stated Edwards declined. Chimaev has also agreed to step in, buzz is Edwards also declined. Could be BS posturing, but with Edwards history I wouldn’t doubt either.

Don't blame Edwards, not a fan but if I won 10 in a row I wouldn't wanna fight ringers either. Only money fights or the belt.

I think Yair is actually a good bet even though Holloway most likely wins
Should almost certainly be a stand up fight and at +500 worth a shot
Yair has 1 loss in 9 years and it was wrestling that beat him

I got Poirier -135 too........Worried about the grappling a bit but he's so battle tested, think he can weather that and win the standup

Oliveira nice win but so stupid to not call Khabib out. What's this dude allergic to money? He matches up pretty well too.
