Bucsfan I understand you guys are worried about the editing feature. However the forum shows clearly that I posted the marlins play at 12:03. Now you guys can clearly see I had the game in before the start time.

The reason I feel the game should count. . .

When a thread is edited it shows at the bottom at exactly what time the thread was edited so therefore you can see if somebody cheated or not. I put in the marlins game at 12:03, now lets say that the Phillies hit a grandslam in the 1st inning and you guys see that I have now edited my thread at 12:13 then you could clearly see that I cheated and should be banned fromt the contest.

JMO, I am not here to *****, the contest is awesome and I dont want to cause you guys any grief . Just wish I could have gotten that win today! It doesnt matter either way though!

Well kruser I won yesterday and posted at 4 after having 6 mins before game time and didnt count cause I just got home and my game got rained out! Could be 3-0 now but they are strict on this one I guess! I think I should have been allowed that one especially since the dodgers didnt win till the 9th so its not like I had some late info! Oh well, more days to come. Later

Ok, let me clear up a couple of things for you, and hopefully you will understand why we have to go with A RULE IS A RULE....

First of all, the reason for the 10 minutes prior rule, is when a post is made, u can edit for the first 10 minutes WITHOUT it showing at the bottom....u can make an edit, and no one knows.....that is the reason for that rule...

Second reason, even if i knew you DIDNT edit, and let you get in 3 minutes late, then why cant i let the next guy get in 4 minutes late, then 5 minutes, then "well the game was just throwing the first pitch, know way i could know the winner, etc"....there HAS TO be a cutoff point somewhere, and when we make one, we have to go with it....I am trying to make this as easy as possible, but when u have lines EVERYDAY, and 100 people trying to get plays in, its not that easy....I am getting the lines posted as early as possible, and when there is only 1 or 2 day games, giving until the night games for plays to be posted, even though it makes for a little more work during grading, having to check for times of day games, etc....However today, there were ALOT of day games, thats why the deadline was 10 minutes before the first games goes...

If we only have 5-10 guys making plays, i would let the deadline go on each game, cuz u can check easy, but with 100, we have to have a cutoff....

Yes, C-Lo, we are adhering to the rules in this contest...

It is a FREE SHOT at some nice money, donated by the RX, so lets please remember that.....

Following the rules, for free money, shouldnt be that hard....The fact that the Dodgers didnt win til the 9th, doesnt really factor, otherwise, anyone could play any game until there is a score...wouldnt u really want to try to monitor that?

I have explained in the previous post the reason for the 10 minute rule, and as i said, if u give one guy a minute, u have to give the next one 2 minutes, and so on....Believe me, i have done this a few times, i know....

That is why i try to set up the rules to be the "fairest" for the "most"...

I am never gonna be able to make everyone happy, no matter how many contests i do, and how much FREE MONEY i work to get you guys, it will never be enough, i will always be doing "something wrong" somehow, to someone....

I have learned to live with that...

Contrary to popular belief, i dont go out of my way to TRY AND SCREW ANYONE, in any contest....

What i do, is go out of my way, to try and get contests, and free money for all the posters here....I wish people would think about that sometimes, when they are whining (and no, i dont mean you).....

I can assure you, I CAME UP WITH THIS IDEA,I campaigned for the money, I pushed for it, AND I organized it, along with many more....I am always coming up with ideas, and then making sales pitches to the books, tweeking ideas, to fit with what they want to do, etc....All to bring free money here to the posters...

So when i get called out, and "protested" over something that was clearly in the rules, it can get irritating.........no reason for me to do all the work, to get the money here, then try to "screw" someone out of a shot at it.....

Just doesnt make sense...
