you guys have NO BALLS!

Not sure who you are referring to, but would like to know what you would have done in my situation, when in 1st place, and every person takes the same game....no way am i gonna lose my lead and drop 3 places just because of one game, that anything can happen.....Had everyone not taken the same team, then i would have had to make my choice just like the others.....or had u not taken a team to try and grab first place, i wouldnt even have played....

If u notice last week, when in 4th place, i could have taken the same team as the 5th place guy, to assure moving on, but i didnt...

Only reason i chose to go with the group this week, is because EVERY person had played the same game.....

Anyway, congrats on 4th place...Hope you are at the bash to collect your money

I agree. It was the easy way out and I feel kinda guilty about it. However, I am a poor college kid and that extra $200 will go a long, long ways.

If this contest is run again, maybe there should be a rule stating that once it gets down to the final 5, on the final day of picks, you cannot pick the same play as the last place team just to assure advancing on.

Well i can tell you whats probably gonna happen, and thats if we keep getting complaining about every contest, where we are giving free money away, we just wont be having contests around here....It seems no matter what we do, we get someone complaining....Can't even give away FREE MONEY (not accounts, free MONEY) and still get complaining......Trying to set up a great contest with Hollywood for NFL, that brings lots of money for the players, and have a couple of posters whining about it, and they would rather have something different, etc......Now its getting harder to get books to sponsor contests, and i can see why......

I understand the frustration with greedy posters, Bucs. However, I am unsure if Booze comment was meant as complaining. He probably saw the Mets had won and his huge underdog had hit to advance him on in the contest. I can understand his frustration when he double check the forum to see that he had, in fact, not advanced on.

As I am, I am sure booze is very grateful to the RX and those running (Bucs and JOH) for this great contest. As far as I can tell, there has been little to no complaints thus far, which is many compliments to those in running it. I congratulate Booze for making it this far and his great underdog pick today, and I congratulate the rest of us still alive for doing well enough throughout the week to be able to survive to this point. Good luck to the finish!

Sorry guys, I was venting. Thanks to the RX for even putting cash up for the contest.

Was just disheartened to see how for 2 weeks straight where people were in the same situation to cockblock, nobody did. Yet this time where the $$ are getting a little higher people decide to play it like the Price is Right where everybody screws the guy who picks first.

I will be at the bash to collect the 3 bills and then give it right back to the GN. Good luck to the 3 of you the rest of the way

Glad to hear you will be there Booze, and look forward to meeting you, and discussing some bases.....Maybe we can turn our winnings into a little more between us......:103631605

how about on the last day of the round - those involved e-mail their picks to someone and they call get revealed AFTER the deadline - this prevents what happened today from happening in either of the next 2 weeks

I really dont like changing the rules "mid stream" but if the other 2 players want to do it, i have no exception to it...

I would guess JOH would have to be the person to email, since i am the other person running it, and obviously they cant be emailed to me...

Of course, each person takes the risk that if they email, and for some reason, it ISNT received, its a no play.......

Like I said in my standings post, email one of the other mods. Their email addresses are readily available and I'm sure they are more than capable of posting the picks once they have all been received.
