Winning bets are:
$5 Place 7 = 5.60 x 2.5 - 5 = 9.00
$15 Show 7 = 3.40 x 7.5 - 15 = 10.50

9.00 + 10.50 = 19.50

Minimum wager at track is $2 this bet and Payout on 1-5-3 would be 1/2 of Triple so I wonder what payout you would return on $1 bet 1-5-3? 50% of 1/2 of the Triple?

Can't figure these being a a $4 wager? How would this pay?

skoda, I thought you were a professional horse player. I'm confused. These are 3 separate $4 wagers: $4 ex 1/5, $4 ex 1/8 and $4 ex 1/10. The 1/10 exacta hit for $12.80 on a $2 bet, so take $12.80 x 2 and subtract the $4 wagered = 25.60 - 4 or 21.60. I only track profits on winning wagers. The other 2 exacta wagers are ignored for grading purposes.

I always thought all tracks allowed $1 triples. I have been accepting $1 wagers throughout the contest so no problem there.

Ok, let's use the actual result, which was 1-10-5 and paid $52.00 on a $2 bet. If he had played 1/3,7,8,10/5, that's 4 separate $1 triples. His payout would be 52.00 / 2 - 1 = 25.00, in other words half the payout on a $2 triple wager minus the amount bet on THAT triple. The other 3 triples that lost are ignored.
