This is a question suited more for gamblers that do not play every single day...

I am curious if most have a set goal, or just let the money ride for months and months...

Do you set a goal to double it ?

Inquiring minds want to know:103631605

to break the book........

In reality, I do not set monitary goals, I have certain day that I take out funds if the accounts have reached certain levels. I have different levels for the different days also, for example over the last few weeks I have taken out 90% of my balances as I will not be wagering very much over the couple of months until baseball. I will then reload and on the first monday of each of the upcoming months I then evaluate my accounts and hopefully withdraw funds then. 1 week before the all star break I take out 90% once again and wait until week 3 football. I wager more in the first 3 months of baseball and weeks 3-10 in football than any other time of year by far.

Jman:

The goal should be to build up the dime if your plays are small. Should you be able to double it, then consider withdrawing the original dime, but continue to wager based on a percentage of two dimes.

If the dime is for a one time play, then withdraw the entire winnings after the play is over if you won. The approach should be based on whether or not the dime is for long time play or single spot play. Two completely different styles.

GOAL

To not have to send a second dime would be my first goal, and that is a serious answer.

I am just looking for some ifferent perspectives on how people go about managing their deposit...what mentallity they have going into a deposit in regards to what goal or if they do set a goal...

I have always tried to win the first dime then take it from there...ironically some of my better runs have been started on very small amounts (which is something I hardly ever do) i.e. leftover small balances, I once ran 26 dollars to an unbelievable figure that would not be believed even if I said it...

I have also mismanaged the hell out of remaining balances at times, but have learned to know better over the past 3 years...

30 pack of Busch is $11.59. 365 days = $4230.35

$3230.35 in winnings is the goal I would reckon.

The main problem I had to overcome back when I started offshore was to realize that playing 1000 offshore is the same as palying 1000 with a local. It is kind of the same thing that happens in a casino with chips, you fail to realize that having money offshore is the same as having money in the bank. I spent a few years adjusting to it.

excellent point, it sometimes eludes you that the number you see in your sportsbook account is CASH and not just a number.

Excellent point ACE...I believe sometimes we forget its cash, or put it in its proper perspective....More than a few times I have ran up large balances , made a few withdrawls . lost some , then have say 2 dimes left and let it ride...this was a bad habit it took me a few years to break...

5,000. Set high goals for oneself and you can achieve them. If you have 1 do you need 2. If you have 1, you could definitely use 5.

my goal has been 20,000 the last few months on a 950+ fees deposit.

honest to god truth... the reason I have this goal is because I took an 800 deposit to 21,000 at olympic.. then hit a bad bad losing streak and only ended up cashing out 2 dimes

the kicker about it ace is that I was all set to cash out 21 k should my next play hit

I had a 6k wager on Miami +4.5 against buffalo... what a brutal beat that was.. up by 14.. then down by 3 with the ball and a minute to go... pick 6.

feeley threw 6 INTS that game...

brutal is right...Noreaga a few years ago I ran like 350 up to 15 and squandered it!

I have since learned to set up goals along the way and regroup, slow down at times, take a break let reality set in when I am up...I think the key is not leaving large amts sitting...if you drop a dime and only have a dime in your acct its alot easier on the mind, then say losing a dime, then squandering 10 dimes over a couple day period because you left to much in your acct...of course this is all relative.
