You can't blame McKelvin for bringing out the kickoff...

...as the Bills were hoping to kill enough time on the return to get to the two minute warning, which would have been a free time out for the Patriots if he takes the touchback. You can blame him for fumbling, though, lol.

I agree-- thought you think the coaches would've taken the risk of that extra timeout for NE given the fact that McDoucheNozzle fumbled the previous kickoff.

Guess a split for the first game is alright. Seeya crunchy

Dam right you know they are going for a strip....drop as soon as you feel preasure....thats simple football then you have all the chances to run for a 1st down or punt and pin them deep!!

Totally disagree. Fumbles on kickoffs are not that uncommon. I blame the coaching staff for not having him take a knee. Unnacceptable if you ask me.

Still need to know when to go down though. You know they're looking to strip the ball.

you're wrong. you don't give tom brady more time than necessary. pee wee football would suggest falling to the ground immediately after contact in that situation, and ball security.

the hands team was in, he had no blockers

I think he should have taken the knee in that situation, but I'm sure glad he didn't

I think the reason is came out was b/c it looked as if he caught the ball in the playing field with one foot in and one foot out and his momentum pushed him in the end zone. He probably thought if he took a knee, it would be a safety. You can tell he froze for a minute thinking "Oh no ... what should I do".

either that or he was trying to be devin hester lol... iono. I'm just pissed that i wrote the book and said "pats suckout at home after BUFF goes up 10 points" at halftime and i end up betting against myself 15:1 lol

He should have went down after that initial hit. He kept trying to fight for yards and got stripped.

Crunch man, you are better than this. The coach shares blame in not properly instructing him on what to do. If the only reason he ran it out was that he thought he was outside the endzone when catching the kickoff, then he takes the blame for not using any sort of intelligence, and simply running out to the 20 and falling down, which is what the touchback would have done for him.

I don't remember how much was on the clock maybe 2:06 left, but I am quite certain the last thing in his mind was "I need to run for 6 seconds to get past the 2 minute warning"...

That was a horrible play by the Kick returner.

All he had to do was fall to the ground. Once contact occured he was fighting for yards and that's when they held him up and stripped the ball.
Which is a very common practice for any type of d-fence.

No way in Hell should the pats have won that game.
Really the last 3 NFL games where the dogs should of covered the ML they did not.

Bears, Bills, Raiders

I was on the ML for the Bears but after that $hit I did not play the ML on the other two games. Took the points.

My Bills played their hearts out everybody! we all saw this. We were about to SHOCK the world..had it all lined up, and then that stupid play by McKelvin..uurrrrrrhhhhhh...I blame the coaches! They should have goten in his face before the kickoff and told him to jus drop..worst case, we punt and Brady drives from their end of the field..this game reminds me of Dallas and Cleveland the last Monday nights..makes me SICK...and I tell you what...the whole city of BUFFALo and Orchard Park is DISMAL today

Merle Hodge on ESPN Radio gave Brady a B- and the Defense a C. Said they have some serious issues on "D".

Wonder if Sanchez can throw for 400 yards against that "D"?

Lol. I think the coach told him to burn 6 seconds on the return if the ball came to him. That little bit of hesitation though, it could blow my theory up because if the coach had told him to run it out he wouldn't have hesitated at all. Anyway, I just posted this for fun as a theory, because it seemed like a valid option for the Bills on the return. It was only by staying up on first contact that they got the clock to the two minute warning -- why else would he stay up risking a fumble, eh? But yeah, 6 seconds is only going to get burned on the return if he either doesn't go down easy or if he dances around sacrificing yards for time.
