OVERALL RECORD 75-48-5
UNDER 5.5 (-125) St. Louis Blues vs. Phoenix Coyotes
UNDER 5.5 (-130) Nashville Predators vs. Chicago Blackhawks
-----
For some reason I was looking at the games and saw this match up and was like, Under. Then I second guessed myself because Phoenix is so sketchy lately (total was 9 vs LA and 12 vs Calgary) but then I was liking Buffalo -125 at home and looked at this game and was like UNDER. SO I guess I gotta go with my gut feeling on it and say under in this game. Other than the fact that Phoenix scares me, and the last time they played the total was 7 (anyone who wants to stay away right now go ahead) I still like the pick. The Blues whether you like it or not rank FIFTH in the league in killing the Power Play at home with a 86.33% Kill Percentage and Phoenix ranks 23rd in turning the PP away only 14.95% of the time. The BLues have held teams to 1 goal or less in 4 of their last 5 games and they have allowed 2 or less goals in 5 of thier last 6 games at their home ice. St. Louis has also scored 2 or less goals in 4 of their last 5. Just the fact of Blues struggling offense and Phoenix's struggling defense and also the Blues good defense and Phoenix's good offense collide this game will be a very interesting one but my gut continues to tell me it will go Under.
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Phoenix's last 5 games when playing St. Louis
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Phoenix's last 6 games when playing on the road against St. Louis
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of St. Louis's last 5 games
The total has gone UNDER in 8 of St. Louis's last 9 games at home

Nashville's Pekka Rinne is one shutout away from tying the team record for most shutouts in a season. He has posted 5 already this year. Nashville has held opponents to 2 goals or less in four of their last five games. Chicago has held teams to 1 goal or less in four of thier past five road games. Nashville, like St. Louis is fighting for a playoff spot and unlike most teams who have stepped up their offense come end of season Nashville's defense has stepped up bigtime.
