As much as I hate the Yankees and anyone who plays for them is can you blame Clemons for taking $28 million prorated down to $18 million for 2 thirds of a season, which averages out to about a little over a millian a week.? The money they are throwing at 40 to 45 year old pitchers is getting ridiculous. Basically he will be lucky to get 14 starts so he will be getting $1,000,000 Plus per start for the regular season. All I can say is WTF.

Tell me what team wouldnt "rent out" A.Rod, Albert,Johan,Ortiz,etc.
What would stop any of these guys from coming in and doing this? And yes I understand guaranteed contracts but at age of 34,35 some of these guys will have 100 to 300 million in the bank. Why not play when they feel like playing?

If I cared about baseball this Clemens thing would bother me, but as it is he's just making the game he plays look like a bunch of fools.
This guy doesn't even travel on the road for games unless he's going to start. Then he flys to the city he's starting at and pitches and goes home again.
