Like Troy, but not Xavier. Charlotte is not bad at home.
I see Xavier in a dogfight here. Dayton had a hard time at Charlotte too. I'll take the points.

great writeup for tonights game from sports network. Its a espn game that xavier needs ,I love the xmen tonight. If charlotte gets in any sort of foul trouble ,they are done. But watch this guy coleys leaping ability tonight for Charlotte.he is insane to watch ,better than a dunk contest.

charlotte basically got lucky with dayton who looked miserable, this is a pretty average 49er team this year.

(16) Xavier (21-4) at Charlotte (9-15)

FACTS & STATS: Site: Halton Arena (9,105) -- Charlotte, North Carolina. Television: ESPN2. Home Record: Xavier 12-1, Charlotte 7-5. Away Record: Xavier 6-2, Charlotte 2-7. Neutral Record: Xavier 3-1, Charlotte 0-3. Conference Record: Xavier 9-2, Charlotte 3-7. Series Record: Xavier leads, 6-0.

GAME NOTES: With no more room for error, the 16th-ranked Xavier Musketeers hit the road for an Atlantic 10 matchup with the Charlotte 49ers this evening, from Halton Arena.

The Musketeers were cruising along through their conference slate until back- to-back losses at Duquesne and Dayton in early February opened the door for other contenders to jump back into the race. Xavier however, was able to gain a little of its swagger back and keep pace with the Flyers atop the A-10 standings, with last weekend's 88-53 pasting of Fordham.
The 49ers have long been out of the conference title hunt and have really struggled with consistency on the year. The team only won two games in the entire month of January, burying itself in the A-10 standings as a result. February has proved to be more successful, with the team already splitting four games. The 49ers enter this tilt on a bit of a high note, blasting George Washington last weekend, 69-51.

Charlotte has really had a tough time of it in this series, with Xavier winning all six previous meetings, including a 69-47 lopsided affair in Cincinnati on January 28th.

The Musketeers are sitting among the conference elite due to its strong play in just about every phase of the game. The team leads the A-10 in scoring margin (+10.5), rebounding margin (fifth nationally at +8.6) and three-point accuracy (.402). The team gets balanced scoring, with three players currently averaging double figures. Derrick Brown leads the way, shooting .533 from the floor and netting 14.0 ppg. B.J. Raymond is the resident sniper, hitting .429 from behind the arc (60-of-140), leading to 13.8 ppg. C.J. Anderson is converting nearly half of his shots (.492) and finishes things off with 10.3 ppg. In the 35-point rout of Fordham this past weekend. A 26-12 run to close out the first half was all that was needed, as Xavier cruised to victory. Six players finished in double figures for the Musketeers, led by Brad Redford's 15 points. Raymond tacked on 14 points, followed by Dante' Jackson (13 pts), Brown (12 pts), Jason Love (11 pts) and Jamel McLean (10 pts). The Musketeers amassed 21 assists in the game and shot a solid .534 from the floor, including 14-of-27 from behind the arc (.519).

One look at the stats and its easy to see why Charlotte has struggled. The team has a -1.9 scoring margin on the year, thanks to a defense that is yielding 70.8 ppg. To make things worse, the scoring options are few, with only Lamont Mack averaging double figures at 14.8 ppg. Ian Anderson and Charlie Coley are tied for second with 9.3 ppg apiece. DiJuan Harris isn't much of a scorer (8.3 ppg), but he is one of the nation's top distributors, averaging 6.8 assists per game (fifth nationally). Harris didn't score in the win over George Washington, but he did make an impact, tallying a career-high 15 assists. Mack was the offensive star in the game, pouring in 23 points, on 8-of-16 shooting. Coley and Anderson got involved as well, with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The 49ers may be home for this one, but they lack the overall depth to hang with Xavier in this one. If the Musketeers get off to a fast start, they should be able to post a comfortable double-digit victory.
