Up 12 with the ball with 45 seconds left and they can't cover a 4 point spread. Even after the meltdown, if they just inbound the ball with 5 seconds left and make some free throws, they still have a decent chance to cover. Instead they turn it over for the third time in the last 35 seconds. Not sure how a back door loss gets much worse.
