mitchell bags bro.... moon sucks for real.... kapono is awesome if used properly (??mitchell) and parker is good but honestly compared to vince? no!
and ive been a rap fan since 97 and 8 year season seat holder so ive been there with the babcocks, oneils, micheal bradley..... f*cking micheal bradley....???? over zack randolph???? or Rafael Araujo the biggest bust ever picked over igoudala??? so trading for vc or just getting rid of mitchell would help now we have a legitimate front court for the first time since willis and the oak!
moon has been great this year. love his athleticism. he's no superstar, but he's the type of role player you need on a great team. parker is a tremendous shooter, and yes obviously he's no vince, but he mixes in well with the raptors. kapono is a guy thats great to have because when he's on, which he usually is, he is lights out. he doesn't get enough playing time though.
i really like mitchell. obviously there are some things i would do differently with the team, but i trust his basketball mind over mine and im sure there are reasons for everything he does. the team was crap before he was there, and now they are a team that could legitimately contend with anyone in the playoffs, although i cant see them beating detroit, cleveland or boston in a series. they could beat anyone else in the east though.
and thanks for reminding me about araujo..god was that a terrible pick. calling him a bust would be kind.
i get what you're overall point is with having vince, bosh and o'neal, but i think the team would be worse by giving up 3 important role players for one guy. bosh is the leader of this team and i just dont know if vince would be able to come in and take a back seat to him. calderon you could argue is a more important player than vince also because he's one of the top pg's in the east right now and fits in perfectly with the raps.
i think harrington or crawford would have been a great pickup for the raptors, but i dont know what they have to give up. you cant mess with the frontcourt of o'neal, bosh and bargnani, and you cant part with calderon. that would leave you the role players and draft picks to give away. i dont see toronto picking up anyone noteable this year, but if they want to make a serious run not only at a playoff series win, but at a title i think they need another pure scorer at the guard position.
