Let me start out by saying i had
No money on the game
I am for neither team
But that was the BIGGEST cheat job by the refs i have ever seen... The last 5 controversial flags were on the Patriots... Just unbelievable .. Gronk never extended his arm and chung sure as hell never held ..so instead of the pats running the clock out or it being 3rd and 19.. They gave the game to DENVER... and in overtime if the first play wasnt pass interference then they should never pull the flag out unless they blow their nose... I am just shocked .. I never even mentioned the first play on denvers drive the pass to thomas their was basically a horse collar by denver offensive lineman to keep oswilder. From being sacked...
This was just unbelievable to watch.
I feel bad for any handicappers who took New England because you got cheated bad by the refs... I am stunned as a bettor this was nothing more than someone having put alot of money in a refs pocket..

NFL is an "entertainment entity". That goes for all "professional" sports leagues. Look it up.

Just think about this:

If you're in charge of a billion dollar business, would you leave the outcome up to chance or would you rather have control of the outcome to maximize profit? The answer is obvious.

The call that didn't get made on Denver's scoring play was glaring. Denver OL had hands in Pats DL facemask. Refs can't see everything on every play but it was pretty clear. The Gronk OPI seemed tacky tacky but NFL has to make game fair since Gronk is impossible to defend for 4 quarters. The one on Chung could have gone either way but I have no problem with it being called.

This subject on refs come up every season...

That's because people don't realize that the refs are employees of the NFL. They think refs are some neutral party that plays "fair".

I'm sure lots of people have been in a situation where their boss told them to do something that they thought was wrong, but they did it anyways because the boss/company said so, otherwise they would lose their job. Same thing applies to the refs, except worse, like losing their life.

Multiple times every season, and yet those people who complain keep right on betting. I'm guilty of complaining, but I've never thought the league was rigged.

Isn't everyone involved with the league employees of the NFL? Owners, management, players, refs, etc.... Is the league betting against itself to make money somehow?

Owners have shared revenue, so they don't necessarily care if their team wins or loses. They only care about NFL making as much money as possible so they get a bigger cut.

Players get paid to play, not to win. There's a big difference.

Injuries are the wild card to every season. I think the only thing the NFL can't predict/control are injuries, unless they tell the player(s) to fake an injury or sit out longer than usual. This year has been a bad one for injuries to major stars. My whole fantasy team has been injured, even the kicker lol.

Think of each season like a movie. Every season, NFL uses their employees to present the best and most exciting movie as possible culminating with the Super Bowl (climax of the movie).

NFL = movie company
Owners = investors
Refs = director
Players = actors

lets do this!

Geez,Denver backers don't think the game was rigged... As a gambler, for every game you lose like this, You definitely have won one like that too,it goes both ways... The refs aren't "fixing " the game,some crews are better than others, but it is what it is...move on already..,

I was on denver because I definitely knew there was a strong chance it would be rigged. The line told you so. Then the half time line told you so. That's why you bet denver.

So many flaws in your analogy. Why has no "movie employee" come out with a tell all story? If it is all staged then why do the Cowboys suck every season? Being the #1 franchise in brand recognition should get them more than 1 questionable playoff win in over a decade. The NFL is so popular it doesn't matter who is in SB. The advertisers and networks will still have their check books open. Refs miss calls and make bad calls. It isn't always an easy job that anyone can do(remember the replacement refs?). Shit happens. No need to try and act like it is all scripted.

If you believe your idea on the movie analogy and you still bet the games would you like to buy this lovely beach front land I am trying to sell in Oklahoma?
