Islam/Sharia Law is not compatible with our constitution, so you're pretty much presenting an impossibility
People said Kennedy was not compatible with the constitution? Huh?
Nope, I'm directly quoting him and he's right. I heard idiots worry when Lieberman was thinking about running that his religion would be a problem.Ted Cruz would not agree that Islam/Shariah is compatible with the constitution, you are misusing his quote.
The only correct answer. Even Ted Cruz agrees: "The Constitution specifies there shall be no religious test for public office, and I'm a constitutionalist," Cruz.
2 Separate issues. Voters can, and often do vote for blithering idiots of all religions. Cruz is talking about any legal impediment to running based on Religion, and he is 100% correct.Cruz is full of shit as usual. While the federal government cannot apply any religious test, voters can do whatever the hell they want.

I don't care about Sharia Law, Jewish Law, etc. When you're running for public office, there is no religion, there is policies, period. You are in public office. What you believe as your Religion, or lack of same is irrelevant, or at least should be, to your public office. Sadly fools like Huckabee and now Carson try to blend the 2 together, but they're not. That's why we have separation of Church and State.
