Really? I know nothing about Pitt, but I'm surprised you like them so much. If Bowling Green can stop them, then Ferentz should be able to gameplan pretty well with his defense. Am I wrong? Bowling Green defense was pathetic against Minny.
that bowling green loss was puzzling. pitt had a chance to blow them out early but got ultra-conservative, punting more than once on 4th/short from the bg 35-ish. pitt outgained bg by something in the neighborhood of 400-250 in total offense. i think pitt is a little undervalued here. they were fairly uninspired against those mac schools but i think highly of them this year. tomorrow will be their litmus test. i might be bailing from their bandwagon shortly after lunch tomorrow. but i have a feeling they grind out a solid 27-14 kind of win.
Take Iowa ML. Iowa will come out and smack them in the mouth on D, and think Iowa will beat them 14-6. One of the touchdowns will come either special teams or on defense. Iowa will have a good opening drive and score, and that is all they need. Iowa's D is very good and people will understand that after this game.
I liked Iowa getting points initially, but the more I look at this game the more I think Pitt wins, maybe easily. Iowa hasn't played anybody worth noting yet. Bowling Green is better than every team Iowa has played so far. Now, I think Iowa is a good team. I had them winning 9 games this year and have a play on them over the season win total, but this is a tough spot. They are a little overvalued after beating up on bad teams, and Pitt is undervalued for losing to a decent BG team. I'll say Pitt wins 23-13.
As for the question, I'd say the same thing as others. Load up as much as you can on Iowa +5, then take Pitt ML somewhere else. At the worst you might lose a little bit of juice, but that is a good middle opportunity. I'm sure you can get Pitt ML at near +100 somewhere also which would just lower your risk.

i see both offenses struggling and low scoring, ugly game. ultimately, pitt likely wins but would definitely put something on iowa with those 5 pts. if game goes as predicted should be defensive and close. 5 pts is quite a bit in that context. if anyone wins big it'll be pitt. but dont see that happening as ia matches up well, imo.
personally lean with pitt but betting the Under pretty large. i know, i know - go against the obvious, logic, etc etc but i plan on hitting the under in every iowa game as their offense is marginal and defense is solid. good luck whatever you do.
