Thanks for the offer VT, but I'll pass. I asked a simple question and you tried spinning it to something else. These people will be without food and fresh water for quite some time. There may be looters stealing things other than this but that is not what i asked, is it? Thanks for all your insights though.

Vaulted, I respect that you wouldn't do that. I really do and I believe you. However, my children nor my wife nor I actually have to be to the point of emaciation/starvation before I would go steal some honey buns and gator aid from the convenience store: which still is looting. I wouldn't take the $4 watches on display and I would go back to pay for it all. It is wrong and I know it. I would do the wrong thing in this case. I am actually a careful fellow about these things....but I would do it and I would never feel bad about it for a second.

Now, looting non-necessity items or never going back to make restitution.... even worse and I am sad for that happening. tulsa

Are these people thats taking the groceries with no other means until the red cross gets or fema with their check?

Or these the same people that live downtown most major cities that have

This will be unpopular. But i really get sick and tired of hearing these storm victims piss and moan. I mean these things arnt like Twisters that give no warning there gonna strike. Everyone has plenty of time to evacuate like they should. If you cant for whatever reason. Then im sure the Red Cross, Police, or dozens of other rescue types will make sure you are taken to safe ground. So my answer is hell no you shouldnt steal food or water or anything else for that matter. You know these damn things are coming 3 or 4 times a year so be responsible and be prepared. If you're not requirer to evacuate, then have your shit together before the storm arrives. Being poor or even homeless is no excuss. Theres all kinds of agencys that will be glad to help these people.
