The offer was probably contingent on Washington getting Jay Cutler from the Broncos with the pick as part of a package, which might also have included the No. 13 overall choice. The Skins have made it clear that they aren't committed to Campbell by balking at a long-term contract and now this.

I would do it. Jason Campbell is great player in a game that does not require the ball to be thrown more than 12 yards down field.

I'm guessing the Skins offered Campbell, #13 overall this year and next years 1st for Cutler but Broncos said no dice because they have no interest in Campbell. "But we'll take a first & second this year plus a first next year"

Skins don't have a 2nd anymore this year so they need to move Campbell somewhere else for that 2nd rounder and then send the 2nd rounder to Denver.
