The Dems ceaseless and rabid opposition to ANYTHING Republican over the last four years alienated a lot of voters. What the liberals were selling Americans were NOT buying in MASSIVE chunks of the United States. They shouldn't be asking the consevatives to reach out to them. Instead, they should look for ways they can reach out to the rest of the country, because they have been soundly rejected by mainstream America. They come out and call everyone idiots and morons that voted for Bush, and in the next breath ask the conserves to reach out to them. All they do is basically complain about everything in government, but never offer any decent solutions. In the end I was right when I said Kerry's campaign strategy of "Give me a chance cause the other guy is doing lousy" was just too weak. That whole party is in disarray. There will be massive shakeups in the Dem party coming.
