I think someone like him could be there only hope right now.
Something tells me Manning would not approve of that.
But without someone like Favre Colts only win 5 games.

Absolutely not. Colts wouldn't want Brett. Maybe 2 years ago yes, but Brett has no drive anymore. Peyton would not allow it as well

Favre hasn't been seen working out so he is not ready to play anyway. He hasn't even said he would play anymore, he's retired.

Colts are gonna be surprised to see how well Collins does back there if given time. The guy has an arm similar to Peyton's with a career of not having enough time to throw. I think he'll impress with decent protection.

Disagree with most posters here - I think Favre is the most logical choice if Peyton can't go. Would really be some funny shit if the colts made the super-bowl then, though without Peyton I don't think they have a shot in hell with anybody that's floating around right now at QB (non-starter).

I agree with this post

Collins playing with great receiving corp and legitimate rushing game combined with the deservedly awesome Indy pass protection should be plenty fine to win at least 8 games

According to the statement released today by colts staff , Peyton is doubtful for this sunday.
Collins vs Painter = worried colt fan

I wouldnt want farve.. Collins has a good record vs Houston , has a pretty decent arm just needs more time with the core.
