Dolphins looked terrible, but one thing about capping gms is the possibility of the dog coming out more motivated than the fav, can the better team withstand that? MIA overcame poor QB & LB play to pull out the cover thanks to Landry’s punt return TD. If MIA doesn’t shore their problems up, the AFC East is going to easily take advantage of those weaknesses. Then Bridgewater doomed my last play & teaser to prevent a perfect opening for the Worm. Wow, did he ever stink it up on primetime. For his sake, I hope he was just blinded by the bright lights of MNF.

POW 1-0, Teasers 0-1, Overall 4-2

ARI (-1 1/2) had a convincing win @ hm vs NOR to justify preseason picks of them finally taking the NFC West from SEA. Now they have a great chance to go up 2-0 on SEA as their div rivals have an extremely tuff gm @ revenge-minded GB. CHI kept it close vs GB last wk before succumbing to Rogers & co. GB dominated the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] half, w/a last minute TD by Cutler making the score look more respectable. Cutler amazingly had only 1 INT as Forte’s big gm took some pressure off of him. He will have no such luxury vs ARI. GB’s “D” is still a work in progress, but ARI’s is in midseason form. Brees had big #s in ARI, but he & their run gm failed @ key pts of the gm. Peterson did great vs Brandin Cooks despite Brees going to him often. I predict the same success vs Jeffery, who is much slower & nursing a bad hammie. Forte will not be as big of a factor, forcing the gm into Cutler’s hands. I feel ARI’s talented secondary will pick him off at least twice, w/ARI’s dline applying consistent pressure. ARI’s bend but not break “D” will give up a bunch of FGs but mostly hold CHI out of the endzone. Andre Ellington will miss this gm, but he wasn’t a factor vs NOR anyway. Chris Johnson will get the bulk of the carries, but rookie David Johnson may have the highlights of the day. His 55 yd TD reception was all over Sports Center. Palmer had time to pass & he took advantage. John Brown was a consistent target for him hauling in a TD on 46 yds. TE Darren Fells emerged, & boy is he a big target. He could really become a star on this “O” w/Fitz, Brown & Floyd garnering attention elsewhere on the field. CHI can be a gritty team, so they may keep this gm close, but I’m confident enough in Bruce Arians to pull out a win here over the team that bypassed him for HC (hiring now departed Trestman instead, 2 yrs ago).

ARI 31
CHI 19
4 Units

Honorable Mentions:

1 Unit TEN -1: This could easily be construed as chasing Wk 1 performance, but I’m not buying all the pundits out there saying how bad TB’s “D” is. I saw those starters absolutely dominate ATL’s starters in Wk 3 of preseason. I think what made them look bad is Mariota’s quick release & smart decision making. TEN WRs yds after the catch will definitely go down @ CLE as their secondary is much more talented. But I’m not predicting a blowout here, just a TEN win. TEN’s “D” & run gm really impressed too. “D” coaches Lebeau & Ray Horton will have familiarity w/Pettine’s system. I’m sorry, and Manziel @ QB? No thanks.

1 Unit NOR -9 ½: Well, TB still did look awful last wk! Winston looked scared throughout the entire gm, & w/good cause as TB’s young oline has a lot of holes. I don’t think that can be fixed in 1 wk. And if a rookie QB can break records against your “D”, I’m afraid to see what Brees & a much more comfortable “O” will do to them, on the rd.

1 Unit MIA -5 ½: Very simple play too. There’s a lot of action once again on MIA this wk so another egg being laid is quite possible. But I have a hard time seeing Tannehill have back to back bad gms. And, even if he does, Lamar & Landry should do enough here to imitate the sad “O” of Scam Newton & the CAR “O”. MIA’s “D” should be just as good as CAR’s too (it hurts me to say that).

2 Unit Wormy Teaser:

HOU +16
NOR +3
ARI +11 ½
MIA +7 ½

Nice work last week Wormy Pix. Bears offense and Cutler played much better than I thought last week. I am really interested to see the outcome of this game. I hope you nail it down my friend. I hope the Saints crush and think they are very capable of winning by DD's. They have been one of the more difficult teams for me to figure out the past couple of years.

good luck

Wormy, BOL today as the Bears have no Jeffery today as it could be a long day for them today.Tenn should beat Cleveland but who know dont see Johnny doing much with the no talent they have on offense. You Phins will be better today and should take care of business.

Agreed on all fronts there United. W/Jeffery now expected to be out, ARI's secondary just needs to focus on a hobbled Eddie Royal & plodding Martellus Bennett. And yes, I normally avoid NOR cuz they tend to flop when giving this much pts. But I'm hoping they're a wounded animal after last wk's drubbing on the rd & put out a great effort @ hm against a div foe.

Thanks for stopping by & BOL on your pix as well!

I saw that Gravy! I like Adam Gase as an OC, which worried me a little cuz of DEN's demolition of ARI last yr, however that was w/Stanton @ QB, & CHI has no such weapons as Julius, Demaryius & Emmanuel.

Awesome stuff Grave, lets hit em all!

W/Jeffery out this only makes things easier for Arians' "D".

Adding 1 Unit ARI -1 1/2.

POW rolls on, but rest of plays went down in glorious flames. This was not a good wk for most Survivor players. The Ain'ts took me down, as well as my teaser. Then MIA put forth another clunker. I'm predicting that Philbin gets fired after Wk 4. They continually trudge out the same stuff wk after wk, for the last 3 seasons. New, better talent, but same ol' product. Only stellar, individual play will save them. I had such high hopes for the Phins.

I had gut feelings that WAS, MIN, PIT, HOU & OAK would all do well today. Did not play a single one (HOU didn't cover). On to next wk.
