POW rolls on. I was afraid I was going to beat my previous worst season of 5-11-1, but I’ve at least surpassed that. BAL started off slow, as Flacco looked like his normal awful self. But GB’s run gm was a non-factor & rookie RB Mays paid dividends w/a costly fumble on one of GB’s few good drives. KC murdered my teaser by losing to lowly NYG & NOR forgot how to play “D” against WAS. My lone total play came in w/no issues. PHI helped me get ahead w/a snoozer on Sunday Night. I won 1 Unit on ATL on MNF, but won’t be counting that here.
POW 6-5, Teasers 5-6, Overall 29-22-1.
MIN -2 ½ has won 6 gms since losing 14-7 @ hm to these Lions. The problem w/that gm was rookie sensation Dalvin Cook tore his ACL & Murray played his 1[SUP]st[/SUP] meaningful snaps thereafter. It wasn’t pretty. He looked slow & unsure as DET feasted off 3 fumbles (10 pts off 2 of those & one to seal the victory) to win the gm despite MIN sacking Stafford 6x & holding him to 209 yds. Well, Murray has kicked off that rust. He’s hitting holes hard behind this fantastic MIN oline. “D”s have to respect the run now, which leads to Keenum connecting w/uber talented WRs Diggs & Thielen. DET has looked great on “O” despite a flaccid run gm, but keep in mind that their last wins were against CHI, CLE & a Rodgers-less GB. Meanwhile, MIN has been involved in 2 dogfights against LAR & WAS. I’m sure that MIN has been watching tape on their loss to DET in Wk 4 & what to show the world that they’re a far different team this time around. I expect big gms from both Murray & Diggs here.
