Sun -2.5 (-110), 1*

Wish I bet this earlier in the day. I heard whispers that the Liberty were going to rest Stewart. The Sun are dying for a win against NY as the Lib have owned them the last couple years. The Liberty are also without their starting small forward tonight. They still have Ionescu, Jonquel Jones, Vandersloot, etc., so it’s not like they are devoid of talent. But I think the Sun finally get some revenge tonight. GL

Wings +5.5 (-110), 1*

Wings are getting Satou Sabally back for the first time all season. She won’t have to get into playing shape, as she just played in the Olympics for Germany. On the flip side, the Sun are coming into this game a little unlucky. Dijonai Carrington is missing her first game of the season for personal reasons. Tiffany Mitchell is missing her first game of the season with an illness. Their backup center sustained a foot injury in practice and is questionable. They are also working trade acquisition Marina Mabrey into the lineup for the first time. I think Mabrey is the exact type of player they needed, in terms of someone who can make threes and handle the ball. But it will take a little time to build up chemistry with her new teammates. Dallas isn’t as bad as their record indicates, they have just had bad injury luck. Maddy Siegrist is going to be back next week from her finger injury. Natasha Howard missed most of the first half. You pair those two with Sabally and Arike Ogunbawale and you have a strong top four. Some of their role players are solid too. Dallas is an undervalued team who I will look to bet on during the second half of the season. That starts tonight.

I like to play the rematch angle in the WNBA when teams play each other twice in a row. I don’t play it every time, there are several factors that come into play. Phoenix and Vegas both qualify for me. GL

Liberty -7 (-110), 1*
Fever +5.5 (-110), 1*

It sounds like Ionescu will be playing tomorrow. The Liberty have really had Connecticut’s number the last two seasons. Sun are also playing the second of a back to back. Same with Minnesota, who had a nice win tonight over Vegas. It’s easy to let down after winning two straight against the two-time defending champs. Indiana is playing better. Yes, Clark gets all the attention for her passing, but Boston, Mitchell and Smith are solid players who can score. I think the Fever are live to win outfight tomorrow night.

I need to get out of this slump I’m in. GL

Aces/Wings over 181 (-110), 1*

I bet this earlier in the day and didn’t get a chance to post. I’m still fine betting over 181. I swear every bet I post in this forum loses and every one I don’t get a chance to post or forget to post is a winner. I think this is a great recipe for the Aces to score 100. They were held in the 80’s the prior two games, Dallas is the perfect team to bust out against on offense. Dallas is 19-10 to the over this season. They just played a game against the Sparks where they won 113-110. This is the healthiest Dallas has been all season. They have Natasha Howard, Satou Sabally and Maddy Siegrist all back from lengthy injuries. They need to address their defense in the off-season and the draft, but they can score. Ogunbawale is an elite scorer and the three girls I mentioned are all good offensive players. They are going to have a top five pick in this upcoming draft and should be drafting a high end talent who can score, but also elevates them on defense. Anyway, I feel good about both teams finding success on offense in this game. Both teams are fully healthy and had yesterday off. Let’s hope for a shootout in Texas. GL

Lynx -4.5 (-110), 1*

I know these teams have played close games all year. Every game has been decided by five points or less. I expect Minnesota to shoot better in this game. With the Sun down Harris and Mitchell, Minnesota has more options to throw at them. The Lynx cannot go down 0-2 heading to Connecticut in a five game series. I think they win pretty convincingly tonight.

Futures

Sun under 24.5 wins (-110), 2*
Storm over 23.5 wins (-120), 2*
Wings under 20.5 wins (+100), 2*

YTD: 34-38, -5.08

These were my three win total futures from before the season started. I will take 2-1. Still down five units in the season, but I can make that up in the playoffs.

Liberty to win series (+100), 1*
Liberty to win game one and the series (-150), 1*

I bet these last night. I’m sure the numbers are still close to what I bet.
