Aces +3.5 (-110), 1*
Sky/Fever over 169.5 (-110), 1*

It should be a fun season this year. The league is as talented as ever. The bench players are still shaky, but there is a ton of talent across the starting lineups on many of these teams. Might add 1 more later. GL

Storm -6.5 (-110), 1*
Storm/Mercury under 156.5 (-110), 1*
Mercury Team Total under 75.5 (-120), 1*

I think the Mercury are going to struggle early on. They have a much different team this year. No Taurasi or Griner. Copper has a knee issue and will be out 4-6 weeks. Natasha Mack who would be her backup off the bench is out 2-3 weeks with a back injury. Sophie Cunningham who was a great role player for them is now on the Fever. Phoenix didn’t make a draft pick in the entire 2025 draft which doesn’t help their depth either. They acquired Alyssa Thomas and Satou Sabally, but I think Phoenix will need some time to click and figure out their rotations. GL

Mystics -4 (-110), 1*

This is a rebuilding year for the Sun. They finally tore the roster down after making a bunch of playoff runs and coming up short. They had two first round picks this year, they will have at least a couple next year. One of those will be their pick which will be top two if they do in fact stink this season. They also have the Liberty’s first rounder. I also expect them to trade Marina Mabrey at the deadline and get a first round pick for her also. This year and next year will be a struggle while they rebuild and bring in young talent. Going into 2027, they will have 4-5 young players they drafted in the first round along with plenty of money to add veterans to the roster. In the interim, they are going to stink. As the season progresses and their spreads get bigger, I will bet Connecticut. Early on when they are only small dogs, they are a play against for me.

Not the best start on day one, but it’s only day two of the season. Long way to go. GL

I’m going to bet against the Sun again. They just don’t have the talent to keep up with Vegas. I got a little fortunate with the Mystics on Sunday, but I think Vegas will pull away in the second half and win comfortably. If Vegas had to travel from the west coast or had won against the Liberty, I might feel different. They played in New York on Saturday so they have been on the east coast. They want to get a bounce back win. I think this one should be pretty one-sided.
Lean the over in the Fever game, but I’m going to pass. GL

Nice three game streak to get me back to even with my record. Let’s make it four tonight. GL

Sun +9.5 (-108), 1*

Wings lost by the hook. Fever covered, didn’t bet them. Let’s try the winless Sun here. I bet against them successfully a couple times, this seems like a good spot to bet on them. Dream played yesterday so CT has the rest advantage. Sun should have won in Minnesota a couple nights ago. Lynx closed the game on like a 20-3 run and stole one. All the rest and motivation factors point to CT. Let’s see if they can at least cover this spread today. GL

Teams often play well the first game after their best player goes down. You see it in the NBA all the time. Let’s play that angle tonight. GL

Mystics +9 (-110), 1*

I’m going to bet against the Liberty again in this one. The Valkyries were a revenge spot after losing to the Liberty on Tuesday. NYK was without Jonquel Jones tonight who has been excellent for them this season. She’s averaging roughly 17 points and 10 rebounds. I could wait until closer to game time to make sure she isn’t playing. I just don’t think she is going to return from a hamstring injury after missing only one game. Especially since they are playing again the next day. It’s not like there is time in between games for her to heal. NYK is also without one of their backup frontcourt players which is a problem against Washington. The Mystics aren’t an elite team, but their strength is absolutely their size. They have four bigs who they rotate in and out. They just got Shakira Austin back who had 13 points in her return Wednesday night. Aaliyah Edwards also returned from a back injury a couple games ago. They drafted a power forward from USC with the fourth overall pick. They have a ton of depth at the position. Where they are light is in the backcourt, which will probably lead to a strong game from Ionescu. Still, I think nine points is too much in a spot where NYK is playing for the second straight night and will be shorthanded.

There are 1-2 other bets I’m considering, but this is the only one I wanted to lock in tonight. GL

I got good closing line value. Unfortunately, you don’t get anything for that other then a good read on which direction the line was going to move. Few games tomorrow, I will post any bets I make in the morning.

Lynx -3.5 (-110), 1*
Wings +7 (-110), 1*
Sparks/Aces over 168 (-110), 1*

I don’t really agree with the line moves in the first two games. Other then the Lynx losing their backup center to Eurobasket for the next few weeks, there’s no other reason to downgrade them. They are undefeated, Collier is the MVP front runner. They feel like they have some unfinished business from last season after losing in the finals to the Liberty. They have had two days off. I will lay 3.5 in this spot all day.

As for Dallas, I think Phoenix might need a game or two to work two players back into the fold. Alyssa Thomas missed five games with a calf injury. Their backup point guard is making her season debut tonight. Their backup center just got ruled out with an illness. They have a lot of moving parts tonight and the spread is up to 7 after Thomas got ruled in. Bueckers is back for Dallas. I think the Wings can hang around in this game.
